Dominic stared at his wings an unreadable expression on his face. The other two in the room watched him nervously. It seemed like they were at a standstill neither parties knowing what to say.

"This isn't normal is it?" Dominic finally asked.

The old couple shared a look before Rudy spoke, "No." He said bluntly not knowing what else to say.

"But it is amazing and a gift." Eleanor added putting a comforting hand in his shoulder. "Come on its time to eat." She stated simply as they once again lifted him into the air this time wary of his wings.

Once seated Eleanor moved to the back and helped push him out of the room which led into a hallway. In minutes they reached the small kitchen which held warm bread and three plates.

She pushed him over to a plate and pulled up a chair next to him as Rudy took a seat across from them. "Are you allergic to anything?" She asked.

Dominic was still looking down avoiding there gaze. "I don't know." He answered.

Eleanor nodded deciding to dish him up hoping the food would brighten his mood. She gave him a piece of bread with a thin cover of butter, cooked vegetables and a slice of ham topped with pineapples.

"Thank-you." The boy thanked reaching for a fork that was nearby.

"Do you really not remember anything?" Rudy asked again getting a glare from his wife.

"No I just remember waking up surrounded by fire then I must of passed out because when I woke up I was here." He answered.

"So you don't know if you have parents? They must be worried about you." Eleanor asked thinking about losing someone she cared about.

"I don't think so." He answered a forlorn expression on his face.

Eleanor noticed that they were upsetting him so she turned to Rudy and gestured for him to follow her. They left the boy alone and shut the door to the dining room before she turned to her husband.

"What are we going to do, honey?" She asked worried.

"I don't know." He answered.

"He's so young and he has scars all over his body." She commented remembering the scars that she had found while patching him up.

"I don't think where he came from was very good." He answered agreeing with her.

"He has no where to go." She said looking at her husbands eyes.

"We could look after him." He agreed, "But it's up to him if he wants to and we should try to find information that might link to his past." He cautioned his wife who got an excited look on her face.

"We must ask him then!" She said happily racing into the kitchen. Her body still quite fast for her age.

Dominic looked shocked at her appearance but quickly pretended that he wasn't caught off guard. "Sweety?" She asked sitting down next to him.

He looked up at her his bottle green eyes meeting her soft blue ones. "Would you like to stay with us at least until we find your family?" She asked secretly hoping that they never would.

The boy was silent his face calculating as he thought about it. Finally what after what seemed like forever he nodded a small smile on his face as the woman jumped up with joy.
