"Do you think he'll make it? He was hurt pretty badly when we found him." A old small woman asked holding a wet cloth over the young boys head a worried expression on her face.
"He seems to be getting stronger and his injuries have even started to heal." The man to which the woman was talking to answered wrapping his hand with hers in comfort.
"Why was he even there? It's in the middle of nowhere it was a wonder that we stumbled on him at all!" The woman sighed sitting down on a chair that the man just brought for her.
The man nodded looking at the young boy in front of them. When they first found him he was wearing a weird gimmick which was almost impossible to get off but they had managed. He was almost half-dead but thanks to his wife they managed to patch him up. Once washed we found that he had a dusty brown hair and a sickly pale complexion almost as if he wasn't in the sun in a long time. There were old scars that covered his whole body. It was sickening.
"Who knows I didn't even know that building existed." The man said watching the boy who was so still that the only indication that he was alive was the faint rising and falling of his chest.
"What do you think he is I mean he has-" The woman was about to begin when the boy suddenly let out a huge gasp of air his eyes opening wide. He then started to struggle and the man and woman quickly jumped on him to hold him down.
"It's okay calm down child we don't want you to tear your stitches." The woman soothed. He was still breathing heavily but he slowly calmed down his eyes connecting with the old woman's soft brown ones.
"Where?" He mouthed his voice failing him. The woman smiled and helped him sit up which thankfully he could still do.
"You were in quite a bad shape when we found you son what were you doing up there?" The man asked not demanding but still curious.
The boy who was having trouble remembering that himself just shrugged. His arm let out a cry of pain at that though and he quickly went to soothe it with his uninjured arm.
"Oh here let me see." The woman stated gently handling his arm. He watched her as her tentative eyes examined it.
"It's sprained but not broken but you still can't really move it." She commented before standing up. "I'll go get you a brace." Then she walked out of the room leaving the boy and the man alone.
"You gave us quite a scare when we found you." He told the boy who looked over towards him at the sound of his voice.
"I'm sorry." He said the words trying to escape but it only coming out as a whining breath.
"Here take a drink of this I did bring it for Susan but she didn't have any." He told him lifting up a glass of water to the boys lips who swallowed it gratefully.
Finally when he was finished the woman appeared with the supplies. Within moments she had his arm in a sling and his arm bandaged.
"Thank-you." He managed his throat dry and even saying those words caused it pain.
"Are you feeling better?" The woman asked noticing the pained look he had on his face.
He nodded and pointed towards his throat.
"Have some more water it should help at least a little." The man ordered handing the almost empty cup towards the boy who grabbed it with his uninjured hand.
"I'll go make you a tea it should help soothe your throat." The woman said as he took a drink of the water.
Once he was finished the woman took the cup from him. "You'll soon feel better with some tea in you." She promised before she paused, "May I ask what your name is?" She asked causing the boy to freeze and look down.
"What's the matter don't you have a name?" The man asked noticing the boys change in stance.
"I don't know." The boy let out causing the older couples eyes to widen in surprise.
