I walk in - the first thing I notice is the matress on the floor.
There's a table in the far corner and a chair with clothes thrown across it, but the small space is mainly empty.
This can't be where she lives can it?
I give her a look asking if this is where she lives.
"Yeah, this is home," she states.
I open my mouth to say something, when suddenly a sharp pain shoots through my leg.
I can't keep my balance and get ready to meet the floor but I don't.
The girl with the green eyes stops me, her arms pulling me upwards and then she leads me to the matress.
It's not very comfortable and I wonder how she sleeps on it. How is this place home?
I can't keep calling her green eyes. Well I can but...
"Umm...what's your name?"
"Lexa, you?"
"Clarke."
She nods slightly as she sits by me with a bandage in hand.
"I know this is gonna sound weird, but can you lift your jeans up?"
I pause for a second before trying with a failed attempt.
"I'm gonna have to see your wound..." she drifts off.
I know its true. Would I rather want it all patched up or should I explain to my mother why I was out so late, how I managed to get stabbed and by Bellamy!
"So, well...err, do I just pull it down?"
I see Lexa smirk, but she nods.
Pretend you're at a beach Clarke. Forget it's cold outside.
I unbotton the jeans and pull down the zipper.
With a little help from Lexa soon enough I'm sitting there in underwear with a cut that looks quite deep and is hurting a lot.
"This is gonna hurt a little, but just look into my - look somewhere."
Was she going to say eyes?
I do just that. I stare into her eyes. A beautiful forest green. There's a slight sting on my leg but it evaporates as I continue to focus on the pair of eyes.
I feel Lexa's cold hand brush my thigh and a prickly sensation runs through my body.
"There all done," she states smiling.
"So umm... thanks," I say getting up to leave before the night is gone.
"I'll walk you home."
I don't protest after the events that have occured.
We walk in silence, me not knowing what to say.
We reach the outside of my house within a few minutes and I realise we don't live to far away from each other.
I want to ask her to live with me, but she's still somewhat a stranger with many hidden secrets.
"Make sure you change your bandage."
She pulls me out of my thoughts. "Will do."
"And don't go walking in the middle of the night."
I can't help but smile. She cares.
I glance at Lexa who looks a little sad suddenly, but she composes herself in a matter of seconds gazing at the floor.
"Hey Lexa."
She looks up at me.
"Wanna hang out tomorrow?"
Her face lights up and she nods her head.
We exchange numbers before parting our ways.
Going up into my bedroom silently I message Lexa.
Night.
That looks too simple I think to myself.
Night Lexa, thanks for everything.
I add a smily face.
:-)Satisfied I lay my head down on my pillow just as my phone screen lights up.
Night Clarke. See you tomorrow ;-)
I even got a winking face back. I close my eyes falling asleep.
