Aiden’s POV

The vampire hunter passed right by me, as I hid on the side of her house in the large bushes. I watched her as she left the house walking down the road, she was just a teenage girl, hardly old enough to be a hunter, and she was not mature enough for such a job. That means she would be easier to kill…a thought popped in my head, she should feel the same way I felt and still feel when Morgan was killed. Blank. I was numb from the inside, I was completely hallowed. I would make her pay for taking Morgan away from me. A life for a life.

“Thanks Mom. We will come by another day,” a man announced coming out of the hunter’s house, he was headed to a truck parked in the driveway. This is the man that I seen through the window hugging the hunter. He must be important to her.

“Alright. Domino, please, if you see Destini tell her to bring her butt home. Your sister is really going to give me a heart attack one day,” a lady at the door said. I believe this lady must be the hunter’s mother. And the man going to the car is the hunter’s brother.

“Okay Ms. Knight, have a nice evening,” a young lady said heading to the vehicle. She waved as the man pulled off, also waving good-bye to his mother. The mother went back inside the house and silently closed the door. No one ever saw me. The hunter was stupid for this action; her mentor must not have taught her to not leave her love ones unprotected, that was highly important. I guess I should teach her why. I cautiously entered the house, coming into the living room; I heard only one heartbeat in the house letting me know the mother was in the house by herself. The heartbeat was coming from the next room. I went to the entrance, the mother was at the sink, her back was turned to me slowly pouring herself a glass of ice tea from a carton. She gulped it down, and never noticed my presence.

I turned on my heels heading back outside, deciding I wouldn’t touch the mother; this situation was between the hunter and me. As I reached for the door a pair of baby blue flip flops with silver linings caught my attention, they were the same pair of shoes that Morgan liked. She seen them in a store window and wanted them real bad, but I told her not to get them right at that moment. I had every intention to go back and buy them, I had plans to buy them when she got mad at me in the future, they would be great forgiveness presents.  Now I would never be able to get them for her, because the hunter killed her.

The image of Morgan’s pain stricken face popped in my head. ‘You promised…,’ she said. I promised her something, what had I promised her…I promised her that same night that I would never let any harm come to her, that I would protect her. Damn!

“Damn you hunter, I will make you feel the same pain that Morgan felt,” I promised. I turned back around to the kitchen; the mother never moved as I entered, she continued to wash the dishes. I reached out and drummed my fingers lightly on the counter next to me.

“Destini, where have you…,” the mother paused as she turned around and looked up into my eyes. I stared at her as I slowly seen the fear/anger appearing on her face. It was funny to see her expression. I smelled the sweet perfume of fear, it radiated off her, and it was exactly what I wanted.

“Get out of my house!” she yelled picking up a cell phone off the beige counter. I cock my head to the side examining her. She planned on calling the police apparently, not knowing I could kill her before she even finish dialing the three simple numbers. I thought about using my abilities to make her drop the phone, but that would be no fun. With super speed, I was in front of her, knocking the phone out her hands and into the dish water behind her. Her eyes widen as my hand flew to her throat and I wrapped my fingers around it, slowly lifting her from the floor. With the breath being caught in her throat, she began to struggle, fighting both for air and my grip. Her nails dug into my wrist, trying to pry it away from her fragile neck, a neck that I could easily snap. Out of nowhere she lashed out and raked her sharp nails down the side of my face. My anger spilled over, the pain from her nails raking my face made me lose control over my hand and I squeezed and squeezed until…SNAP. She fell to floor, motionless at my feet. What a waste of blood, her blood was no longer pure after her heart stopped beating.

I wanted to see the hunter’s reaction after seeing her mother dead to the world, lying on the floor. I wanted her to know it was me who took her mother away from her. There was a closet that stood behind me; it had little slots so I could see through. I got in and closed the door behind me.

Hey sorry, this chapter is so short, but that is all I got for Aiden right now. He will have his chance. And yes I had to kill the mother, it will come clear in the future as to why I had to do it. I actually liked this chapter because it shows the dark side of him. I’m thinking about killing someone else, if you don’t want someone to die or think I should do something else, vote or comment and let me know. Also, if you like werewolves, read my other story Being a Werewolf.
