“Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! What the hell?” I yelled out from the hard ground, when moments before I was going to make the hunter watch me sink my teeth in a blond college student. I was completely connected to her; I knew every detail about her life, including the fact that she found supernatural interesting. That’s why I choose her out of all her little friends.

The hunter broke my concentration as she jumped on top of me, she had a shape knife to my throat.

“I should kill you right now,” she spat. Her dark hair fell across my face and I could smell the candy apple shampoo that still lingered in her hair, it smell sweet, but on top of that, the smell of hunter blood was moving throughout her body.

“And yet you won’t,” I laughed in her face. Her brown eyes sparkled with anger. They looked like small chocolate balls on fire.

“Shut up,” she quickly took a couple of glances around her to see that a crowd had gathered around us with cell phones out. I could hear the many conversations they were having with the other person on the line. Some had dispatchers they were reporting to and about two were actually calling friends, telling them they should be here. Some had already taken pictures of the scene.

Fear and worry cross the hunter face and she quickly jumped up from being on top of me, to standing over me. She starred at the crowd that was staring at her; they were gathered on the streets and on the sidewalks.

“From the looks of it, I think you might be in trouble,” I smiled.

“If I freaking go to jail, I promise you, I will kill you when I get out,” she growled in a low threating voice and she quickly ran down the street pushing a couple of people out of her way. Interesting!

I sat up to be able to watch where she turns to.

“Are you okay, sir,” an old man asked me putting a suppose to be comforting hand on my shoulder. My power flared out and touched the many minds in the gathered circle and others that were just watching from a distance.

“You have seen nothing, erase your previous pictures, videos, or messages of this situation. Tell the police that it was two actors performing, that it was a misunderstanding. Remember nothing of this situation,” I said. They all started pushing buttons on their phones while others walked away and went off to finish their business.

I didn’t need the hunter in jail, if she was in jail, I couldn’t get my revenge, nor kill her there. It was about to get interesting, to have the kill of a hunter on my plate was serious. Other vampires would always see me as powerful. Other hunters would be looking for me, but vampires tend to protect their powerful.

A flash of light caught my eye, I glanced down to see disks still attached to strings laying on the ground. How was it that these plastic little objects hurt so much? I picked one up; a little blood was still on the edge where it cut me somewhere, but the wound most likely closed up already. The strings that were still attached to the disk looked as if it had been popped. How? It hit me then, the hunter, I had no idea what she did to the disks, but I had every intentions of finding out.

I followed the street she went down and picked up the scent of candy apple. The fragrance was sweet on my tongue like the taste of sweet blood running down my throat. I knew that when I get the chance to taste the blood of the hunter, it would be just as sweet as she smelled.

The street was dark even with the many street lights shining their orange glow. As I turned left down another road; searching the road and sidewalks for the person that smelled like candy apple. Right after turning the corner the sounds of silent crying caught my attention. The hunter sat under a lamp light with her face in her hands, brown hair flowed like water around her face, hiding it from view. There was no way of mistaking the silent crying that I could hear. This means I was getting to her, she was beginning to feel my pain and hurt. The pain that engulfed me like a rainy cloud beating down on me was working its way to her.

“So the hunter cries again. Does this make you an orphan, hunter?” I laughed walking slowly to her. She jumped to her feet, but not before wiping the shine of tears trailing down her cheeks. The faint streak of tears lingered a little longer.

“What the hell do you want? She screamed with fire in her dark brown eyes. I casually leaned against the light post and watched her face go from pissed off to questioning my actions.

“What the hell do I want?...Um…let me see…YOU DEAD!”

She starred hard at me, apparently she believed that I was going to make a move, which I had no intentions at the moment to move from the light post.

“Aww…You want to kill me, for killing your…what was she, your vampire girlfriend?” she mocked.

“That’s none of your business, but you can tell why you killed her,” I said. She smiled and stood there saying nothing. She wasn’t answering the question, seconds went by and nothing escaped her mouth. Rage filled me up instantly.

“Answer the damn question, hunter! I hollered, lifting myself off the post. I moved to where I could strike without anything getting in my way, just a clear shot at her. I noticed her hand moved quickly to her side. I was betting she had some kind of weapon there, I wasn’t going to under estimate her this time.

“First off, my name isn’t hunter. Secondly, I don’t give a damn about your stupid vampire girlfriend…oh wait…neither do you, because she is dead and not you. She completely dead, I made sure that that arrow pierce through her heart,” she smiled.

My legs moved toward her and my fist was ready to connect with some part of her body. I was ready to kill her, to sink my teeth in that tan skin, and taste the blood of her as it slowly runs down my throat quenching my thirst. As my fist reached out toward her she stepped to the side just in time with a light swat at my wrist, when her hands came back in sight they were holding large silver knives. I couldn’t see where see pulled them out of, but she was quick when she did it. She came slashing at me from all angles, dodging as many as I could, sacrificing my hands and arms to blocks her from stabbing my heart. One stab would have me one the ground dead, turning into ash.

She was fast; I could smell the scent of vampire hunter blood seeping through her pours. She came at me with a kick going toward my side, I was able to knock her leg back down, but by the time I glanced back up, I knew I was too late to stop the knife that was already inches away from my stomach. I felt the searing of the silver rather than the knife slashing across my torso. I yelled out in pain, backing up from her to make sure I would be able to have a small chance at stopping the next blow. My stomach felt like it was on fire, like flames were kissing my skin, it hurt.

She stepped toward me and I jumped onto the bench that she was sitting on before. I spun with my legs out ready to connect with her, and it did. She took the full blow to the face, falling to the ground, knives falling out her hand. Her body was slowly catching up with head as she hit the concrete hard. I jumped over to her, feet planted on either side of her. Breathing hard she was slowly trying to get up on her knees. I had to give her credit, well at least her mentor. They taught her well, to never give up.

The smell of sweet metallic hit my nostrils…fresh blood. I hadn’t feed yet, so the smell awoken the blood craving part of me, and it was starving, fangs already out, ready to sink into her skin. I snatched up a hand full of that dark hair and yanked hard to get her to her feet. Screaming out in pain, hands going around my wrist, she planted her feet under her.
