Destini’s POV

Ever since I was a baby the scalp of my hair has been sensitive and still until this day I have a scalp of a baby. Just a simple touch of the end of my hair, I would be able to feel it. The vampire had me up on my feet by a hand full of my hair. Just by having my hair, he made me helpless. I would have done anything to get him to let it go, even another kick to the face. A thousand needles felt like they were digging into my scalp.

“Let go you son of a…,” I started. With a small yank of my hair, he had me shutting my mouth tight, other than a small whimper. My hands flew to his wrist trying to pry his fingers out of my hair. My hair was tangled in his fingers. He placed his cool hand on my stomach and pushed me against his hard chest. Then suddenly I felt a warm breath on my neck.

            HELL NO!

I grabbed at my sleeve and quickly snatched out a medium size knife, I knew which knife I had because I felt the head of a snake on the hilt. This knife was one of my favorite knives, because Caleb specifically dipped it in blessed water. Blessed water/ holy water burned vampires. And the knife was silver.

I slide the knife out of its slit as I felt teeth scrap the sensitive skin on my neck. As if the vampire could feel what I was doing, he bumped up against me and with a powerful thrashed, he pushed me forward. If Caleb found out that I made such a rookie mistake like that, he would be so piss at me. Letting the vampire know what I was doing was something that new vampire hunters do.

When I finally stop moving forward, I turned around to face the vampire, and rushed him. I yelled out, letting all my frustration out, I was going for a kill shot. I wanted to end this, end this miserable abomination. The vampire swatted at my hand, but I dodged it by moving to the right, out of reach. I had a kill shot now, his heart right in view and I was taking it, but unfortunately I delayed to long, the vampire grabbed my wrist, and twist. My arm was at an odd angle above my back, scarping against the bow and arrow. I was no longer able to hold the knife in my grasps.

“Freeze! Let the women go, right now or I shoot,” a deep voice said. I couldn’t see who the voice belonged to, they were behind me, but I was guessing a police officer.

“It’s your lucky day, hunter. Instead of getting hunter, I get an officer,” the vampire smirked. He twisted my left arm some more to where I was looking up at him as he spook the threat. He twisted it again until I cried out and he threw me to the ground. My hand smacked the pavement and my shoulder was throbbing with pain. The vampire stepped over me laughing.

He was going after the officer; he didn’t have a chance. The bullets that were in his gun wouldn’t stop him, only slow him down, he needed silver bullets to actually really do some harm to him.  Unfortunately, the officer had no idea of this fact and that a vampire was walking toward him, and he was out for blood.

With the throbbing pain that shot up my arm, I quickly jumped to my feet having the vampire’s back to me. I was able to snatch the knife up from the ground where I had dropped it. The vampire was still oblivious of my actions as he continued his stroll toward the officer.

“Don’t take another step or I will drop you!” DO NOT MOVE!” he shouted the gun raised at the vampire’s chest that walked casually toward him like he was just going out for a normal walk in the park.

Without a second thought I swiftly drove the knife into the side of the vampire until I could no longer see the knife, only the hilt. I couldn’t really tell where it hit, but it did exactly what I wanted.
