There at the Maheshwari house, Naira met her Buddy Nani and Choti Nani and also consoled Kuhu, who came to know about Kartik from Sunaina's conversation with Varsha over the phone, and requested Kuhu not to tell anything about Kartik to Mishti. Naira herself was broken from within yet she acted strong and calmed Rajshree who was worried about Kartik and made everyone have their dinner and ate along with them. It was around 10 pm, and the Maheshwaris had to send dinner for Shaurya. Naira volunteered to take the dinner for Shaurya and return back to the Singhania house assuring them that she would take the driver along.

She reached the hospital, met Shaurya and took him to the cafeteria where she served him the dinner. Shaurya asked her to go near the ICCU in case they needed anyone from the family while he is having his dinner. Naira was happy that she had got a chance to meet her Mendhak. Without wasting another minute she rushed to the ICCU and peeped from the glass. Not seeing anyone inside or around, she entered his room. Kartik was in his peaceful slumber when she went and sat near him.

She lowered her head and allowed a few tears to roll down her cheeks and that's when she heard Kartik groan softly. She immediately looked up and saw his eyes moving. She held his bandaged hand with her hands and asked him to wake up.

Kartik shifted his head a little and pressed his hand that was in Naira's hands. Seeing him hold her hand, Naira was elated. Kartik slowly opened his eyes, flickering them again and again so as to adjust to the light. He slowly opened his eyes and saw Naira's face infront of his eyes. Naira's happiness knew no bounds when she saw him awake. Kartik raised his left arm to remove the mask but a sharp pain shot through his arms and chest and he groaned in pain. Naira, scared on hearing his groan, pressed the call bell. She leaned over him and kept his left arm down. Kartik was happy seeing Naira care for him. The nurse and the doctor rushed in to check over Kartik. All his vitals were normal but he had high fever, which was not good. The doctor removed the oxygen mask and prepared to give Kartik some injections to bring down the fever. Kartik, who was scared of injections shut his eyes tight and Naira kept her hand on his shoulders so as calm him. The doctor asked Kartik not to move much as his wounds were still fresh and would cause a lot of pain. The nurse was asked by the doctor to take his temperature at regular intervals, rest was fine. Both the doctor and the nurse left and Naira once again sat on the chair on his right.

Naira: Tum thik ho na?

Kartik: (very slow voice) Haan, main thik hun, aur tum?
