Part 11: Ab Pyaar Ka Naya Safar Hai

"Mujhe Bhi"

The moment Naira said it, Kartik's moist eyes widened and he kept on staring at her angelic face lovingly. Naira held his right hand and brought it to her cheek, while tears flew out from the corner of his eyes onto the pillow, whether they were because of the pain or joy, that was unknown even to Kartik. As she confessed, her happiness knew no bounds. A lone tear escaped her eyelids and Kartik immediately wiped it off, gesturing her not to cry.

Naira: I love you Kartik. I really do. Main bhi kitni stupid hoon na. Us waqt jab tumne mujhse kaha ki tm mujhse pyaar krtein ho, toh pata nhi mujhe kya hogaya tha. Main bohot ghabra gayi thi. Par baad mein realize hua, ki main bhi tumse utna hi pyaar krti hun, jitna ki tum merese. (A smile found its way on his face even amidst the pain as he heard the love of his life confess her love infront to him. Naira looked at his smiling face and scowled at him) Tum mera mazak uda rahe ho? Ek toh main yahan tumhe apna pyaar jata rahi hun aur tum mera hi mazak uda rahe ho?

Kartik was about to reply but the doctor interrupted.

Doctor: Sorry to interrupt but Mr. Kartik, your dressing is done. Ab aap dono apna jhagada continue kr saktein hai. But make sure you don't move much, warna apke abdomen aur shoulders, dono ke wounds wapas bleed kr saktein hai. The wounds are still very fresh. So take care.

Naira: Yes doctor, main dekhungi ki ye jyada stress na le, zyada hile dule na. (The doctor and nurses leaves the room) Suna, ab zyada mendhak wala dance mat karna.

Kartik: Okay. (innocently smiles and then both of them look towards the door)

Though they couldn't hear, but this entire scene was being watched by the Shaurya, Naitik, Mishti and Keerti who were standing outside. The two elder males were quite confused but Mishti smiled happily. Keerti just closed her eyes and thanked the Lord that his brother was fine. The Doctor came out and informed that Kartik was completely fine, his fever was going down and also his vitals were strong. He allowed them to go inside and talk to him but at the same time, make sure that he doesn't take too much stress. They entered and Kartik Naira greeted them with cute smiles on their faces. Naira stood up and asked Keerti to sit down, while Mishti came and hugged Naira. Keerti slapped lightly on his arms and he grinned in return.

Keerti: Khabardar agar dubara kabhi tune mujhe aise daraya toh. Koi karta hai kya aise? 2 saal mein ek baar bhi baat nhi hui humari aur jab ho rhi hai, toh tu yahan, hospital mein hai. Tune toh meri jaan hi nikal di thi Kartik.

Kartik: Arey I am fine baba. Dekho, kuch hua hai mujhe, kuch bhi toh nhi hua!

Keerti: Maarungi ab main. Acha bata ab kaisa lag raha hai?

Kartik: (looks at Naira) aisa jaise ki mano saari khushiyan mujhe mil gayi hai..

Keerti: (leans closer to him and whispers) Naira ne haan kehdi?

Kartik: (shocked) Tujhe kaise pata, mere aur uske baarein mein?

Keerti: Badi behen hun main teri. Sab pata chal jata hai teri se bholi wali shakal dekh ke. I missed you Bhai.

Kartik: I missed you too. (And she hugs him, while Shaurya and Naitik keep on looking at the 4 kids. Mishti even joins the hugs and shouts)

Mishti: Finally ab aap dono Kaira ban gaye. Yay!

Naitik (suspicious but not angry): Naira, (goes near her) kya tum dono ek dusre se...??

Naira: (blushes) Haan Papa. Hum ek dusre se (and Kartik interrupts)

Kartik: Bohot pyaar kartein hai. I know sir aapke man mein bohot questions honge but I promise you, main aapki princess ko bohot khush rakhunga use koi takleef nhi hone dunga. I promise.

Naitik: Mujhe pata hai. Tum dono ki aankhon se sab saaf saaf chalak raha hai. Naira, I am proud of your choice, and Kartik, I am so proud of you too. Tumne jo kiya humare liye, woh koi bhi nhi karta. Thank you.

Kartik: Ab thank you bolke begaana mat kariye sir.

Shaurya: Begaana kaise, tum toh ab officially bhi humare parivaar ka hissa ho.

Kartik, Keerti and Naira smile.

Naitik: Beta Kartik, ab bas tum jaldi se thik hojao, phir tumhari family se baat krke, tum dono ka rishta pakka kardenge.

Kartik's smile goes away as soon as he remembers his family and that doesn't go unnoticed by Naira. Keerti tries to control the situation.

Keerti: Aa, I think ab tujhe rest krna chahiye. Hum sab bahar hi hai, kuch chahiye hoga toh bula lena. Naira, tm yahi ruko.

Naitik: Haan, aur main abhi Akshara aur baki sabko ye dono khushkhabari deta hun. Mishti tm bhi aajao.

Mishti: Ji Tauji.

They move out and Naira notices the sadness on Kartik's face. She goes beside him and sits down while Kartik was looking at the ceiling, remembering his family. Naira tries to divert his mind.

Naira: Mendhak, kya soch rhe ho? Zurich ke baarein mein? Ki kaise wahan tumne mujhe propose krne ke plans banaye the aur kaise sab phus hogaya?

Kartik: (Smiles at her cute expressions) Nahi, main bas... Apni family ke baarein mein soch raha tha. Main unse touch mein nhi hun Naira.

Naira: Hum iske baarein mein baad mein baat krenge. Tum rest kro abhi (and she touches his forehead) Hey Bhagwan, tumhe toh abhi bhi thoda thoda bukhar hai. Main nurse ko bulati hun.

Kartik: Dawai di hui hai mujhe. Thode time mein utar jayega bukhar. Tum please aise hi baithi raho mere paas. Bas. (Naira smiles and they both get lost in their eyes)

Meanwhile, Keerti talks with Naitik and Shaurya outside the room.

Keerti: Naitik uncle, actually I have a request.

Naitik: Haan bolo beta.

Keerti: Uncle, Kartik se agar aap kuch dino tak family ki baat na karein toh bohot acha hoga. Abhi use kisi bhi tarah ka stress nhi lena hai. Jaise hi woh iss matter to lekar baat krne ke liye comfortable hoga, hum dono bhai behen aapko sab kuch bata denge. Bas aap usse baat mat kariyega.

Naitik: Okay beta, aap dono jaisa chaho, waisa hi hoga.

Keerti: Thank you

Further, Shaurya leaves for Maheshwari House while Naitik informs everyone in the family about Kartik and his relationship with Naira. The family is elated except Gayu who shuts herself inside the room. Akshara talks to her, Gayu reveals her feelings and then Akshara consoles her but she is unable to gather herself. In the next few weeks, Naira and the family take very good care of Kartik and soon he gets better. The couple had a set of funny and cute incidences at the hospital as well, their nok-jhok continued everytime, be it Kartik's stubbornness against taking medicines, his fear of injections, or be it Naira's jealousy for the nurse everytime she changed Kartik's dressings. Kartik used to tease Naira regarding this jealousy a lot and in return, she used to feed him bitter medicines and like this, the days passed. Kartik was discharged soon and he came back to Maheshwari House. Keerti was there with him for a few days but had to leave for an important work and so she returned to Delhi but not before promising to return soon. Keerti & Kartik did not inform about anything related to Kartik to the Goenka family members yet. Gayu slowly realised that Naira and Kartik made a really good couple and that whatever she had for Kartik was nothing but infatuation. She soon accepted their relationship like others and started feeling comfortable around them. Soon, it was Diwali time and the couple celebrated it together with the two families.

(Post this, things go the same way as in the serial, Singhanias talking to Kartik about his family and then Kartik bringing his Chacha and Chachi and Keerti to them and so on so forth...)
