Another Fight

Chase and Oliver were asleep on the couch in the living room, Oliver's head in Chase's lap and Chase's hand was resting on the middle of his back. They had fallen asleep like that the night before when the whole team decided to have movie night.

Skylar, Kaz and Bree had stayed awake long enough to finish the movie and then head up to their respected rooms to sleep.

Chase was the first to wake up and when he did he glanced down at Oliver and watched him sleep. His face was half buried in his lap and half turned so he could see half his face. Chase felt a smile creeping onto his face as he thought about Oliver's blue eyes and how adorably cute he was when he was sleeping.

Chase moved his hand from his side and gently ran his fingers through Oliver's hair. Oliver stirred and made a soft quiet moan of pleasure as he continued the process. Chase smiled at the effect of running his fingers through Oliver's hair was having on the boy.

Maybe it wouldn't be so bad to be in love with the dorky nerd. Of course it would change everything if he told Oliver how he felt and he didn't feel the same. It would ruin their relationship and mess up the dynamic of the team.

Chase sighed and shook his head, his eyes shifting from Oliver's face to the tv across from the couch. Chase snapped his head to the side when he heard a noise coming from the balcony. It sounded like footsteps and voices. And he recognized them.

Roman and Riker.

Damn it, Chase thought. We just can't catch a break.

Chase quietly and slowly moved Oliver's head off his lap and stood up. Oliver grumbled in his sleep and Chase made his way to the sliding doors leading to the balcony. He looked out and the window shattered from an energy ball being thrown at it. Chase flew backwards and landed by the couch where Oliver jumped awake yelling,

"I'm up!" Oliver looked at Chase lying on the floor and staring at him. He frowned. "What are you doing on the floor?"

Chase sighed exasperated. "Roman and Riker Sherlock."

"Oh." Oliver stood up and saw Roman step through the broken balcony door and throw something at him. Oliver ducked, tucked his head down and charged at him, tackling Roman to the floor. Oliver straddled his waist and punched him in the face a couple times before the tables were turned. Roman flipped them over so he was straddling Oliver and punched him in the face.

Roman's fingers wrapped themselves around Oliver's throat and he began choking him. Oliver grabbed his hand and began to freeze it using his cryo powers. Roman jerked back hissing and Oliver pushed his stomach and chest, flipping him over his head. Roman landed hard on his back and Oliver scrambled to his feet facing Roman as he stood up.

Chase used his molecularkinesis to throw Riker across the room. During this time Kaz, Skylar and Bree had come downstairs to see what was going on.

"Oliver what's going on?!" Kaz yelled.

Oliver glanced at him and that short distraction was all Roman needed. He kicked Oliver in the stomach and conjured up a swarm and threw it at him. Oliver didn't have time to scream before he was tossed out of the window.

Oliver had been knocked out and was basically falling to his death. You couldn't fly if you were unconscious. Kaz was there and caught him before he hit the ground and carried him back up to the balcony.

Chase sprinted over and ducked down as Skylar shot fire balls out of her hand. Chase began shaking Oliver trying to wake him up.

"Hey. Oliver wake the hell up!" Chase yelled.

Oliver opened his eyes and shot to his feet only to be pulled back down by Chase. "What?"

"Stay down." Chase ordered. Kaz nodded and waited a few seconds before he launched himself over the couch, turning himself into a flaming torch in the process.

Riker shouted some obscenities and and grabbed his brother. "We'll be back! For him!" Riker and Roman looked pointedly at Oliver and then they were gone.

"Me? What could they possibly want with me? Why not Kaz? He's the idiot." Oliver says confused.

Chase helped him to his feet, shifting his eyes from the door to Oliver's frightened face. "I don't know. But we'll figure it out and keep you safe while doing so."

Oliver smiled slightly and nodded. "Okay."
