Rescuing Chase

Third Person POV
Oliver was so angry angry with Kaz and with himself for not seeing Kaz's jealousy of him and Chase being together. Oliver sort of knew that his jealousy was part of the reason for his betrayal. Oliver, Bree, Skylar, Donald and Douglas were in Mission Command planning a rescue mission.

Oliver paced back and forth, his brain running at top speed as he thought of all the possible outcomes and what they might be doing to Chase right at this very moment. Oliver ran a hand through his hair, letting out a frustrated sigh.

"Oliver stop it. You make me nervous when you pace." Skylar told him.

"Yeah. And we're gonna get Chase back. He's gonna be okay." Donald said.

Oliver shook his head and continued to pace; he couldn't relax and he for damn sure wouldn't stop worrying. He was too amped up on anger and his anxiety was reaching its peak.

"Oliver relax." Bree ordered him.

"I can't." Oliver said. "I can't relax knowing that Roman and Riker has him. It-it's driving me crazy not knowing if he's okay."

To be completely honest when it came to stuff like this, Chase was usually the one who was able to get him to calm down but since he wasn't here, Oliver was having a full blown anxiety attack. Or he would if he kept this up. And he couldn't have an anxiety attack, not when Chase needed him. Oliver took a deep breath and let it out slowly.

Finally calm enough to speak, he said, "Okay. We know where he is right?"

Douglas nodded. "They're still in the subway where we found Skylar when you guys first fought them."

Bree smiled and said, "So we know we can go there anytime."

Oliver contemplated what she just said. They could put their plan into action now because they wouldn't know they were coming. Well Roman and Riker would know that they'd come for Chase but they wouldn't know when.

"We should go now when they don't expect us to." Oliver told them.

"Catch them by surprise. Great idea Oliver." Donald complimented.

Oliver just nodded and glanced at Skylar as she rested a hand on his shoulder. "We'll get him back."

Meanwhile in the subway, Chase screamed in pain as Roman and Riker blasted him back into a wall. Chase was in so much pain but only his anger at Kaz kept him from breaking. Kaz was just standing there watching, with an emotionless expression.

Chase knew that Oliver and the others were looking for him and he knew they would find him eventually. He glared at Kaz in hatred and he knew he hated him with every fiber in his body as he shoved himself to his feet, only to be knocked back down.

"You're weak and pathetic, Chase. I don't know what Oliver see's in you." Riker laughed. "Kaz would be perfect for him. Am I right Kaz?"

Kaz smirked. "You couldn't be more right."

"You can have a shot at him if you want. After all he did steal your crush from right under your nose." Roman stated.

Kaz's smirk deepened. "Oh yeah. I'm gonna enjoy this."

Chase's eyes widened in fear as Kaz shot a fire blast from his hands. Time slowed down and Oliver was there, blocking it with his body. The force of Kaz's blast threw him back into the wall and he collapsed to the ground. Chase yelled his name and scrambled to his side.

"Oliver!" Chase yelled.

Oliver pushed himself up faced Kaz.

"What are you doing here?!" Kaz yelled.

"Saving my boyfriend." Oliver stated and threw an icicle at Kaz, who melted it the minute it came within three feet of him. Kaz shook his head as Oliver threw more at him and dodged every one.

"I don't want to fight you again." Kaz told him.

"You should have thought of that before you betrayed us. Me." Oliver growled and Chase watched his boyfriend charge at his best friend, launching himself in the air and colliding with Kaz, sending them both to the floor.

Unsure of what to do, Chase finally saw Bree, Skylar, Donald and Douglas fighting Roman and Riker. Chase summoned his bo and decided to help. He knew this was going to be a big fight.

Oliver and Kaz rolled across the floor, punching and kicking until he ended up on top of him and Oliver punched Kaz in the face four times. Kaz flipped them over and pinned Oliver's wrists above his his head, straddling him. Oliver growled up at Kaz and struggled to get him off.

"Oliver just stop fighting me." Kaz said. Oliver continued to struggle underneath him but Kaz was heavy and he didn't budge. Kaz smashed his lips to Oliver's and panicking he bit down on his lip and Kaz yelled in pain, jerking back and letting go of his wrists.

Oliver punched Kaz in the face as hard as he could and kicked him in the stomach, sending him flying back into the floor. Oliver scrambled to his feet, satisfied that he made Kaz's lip bleed. Kaz climbed to his feet, wiping his mouth and he glared at Oliver.

"Okay that is IT!" Kaz shouted and charged at Oliver shoving him back.

Oliver slammed into the wall and moved aside as Kaz punched the wall, using his superstrength and leaving a huge hole in the concrete. Oliver's eyes widened and he cryo blasted him but Kaz kept coming. Oliver kept dodging his punches until one connected with his jaw, throwing him off balance and Kaz kicked him in the leg. Hard.

Oliver cried out in pain as he felt the bone snap and he fell, clutching his leg. Oliver tried to crawl away but Kaz picked him up and flung him across the subway. Oliver crashed into the wall, his head cracking against it and he saw stars. Literal stars.

"Oliver!" Chase yelled.

Oliver painfully pushed himself up only to come face to face with Kaz, who grabbed him by the throat and slammed him against the wall, lifting him a few inches off the floor; Oliver's feet kicked and his hands scrabbled at Kaz's hand as he started to crush his windpipe. Tears welled in his eyes and he couldn't focus enough to use his powers.

He was gonna die; Kaz was going to kill him. And he couldn't even get his hand from around his throat. Oliver struggled to breathe as little air got into his lungs; his lungs felt like they were going to burst. Tears spilled over his cheeks and he felt himself getting weaker. Oliver stared into Kaz's eyes but all he saw was cold emotion. He saw anger and he whimpered as he saw hate in his eyes.

Kaz hated him enough to kill him. As much as Oliver had wanted to kill him before for betraying them and handing Chase over to Roman and Riker, he'd never do it. Because no matter what Kaz was still his best friend. He was still family.

"Kaz..." Oliver gasped as his vision started darkening around the edges. Something changed in Kaz's eyes and his grip loosened slightly, enough to let Oliver know that Kaz was still there.

And then Kaz was falling to the floor, unconscious from a hit to the back of the head. Oliver fell into Chase's arms, sucking in deep breaths as air rushed into his lungs. He stared up at Chase, with a small smile upon his face as he passed out. But before he did he heard Chase say,

"I'll always be here."
