As soon as those words left Percy's lips, light filled the dark room, temporarily blinding the trio who were inside it.
"Well done, Perseus Jackson." A silky voice said with regretful acceptance. "You have passed. I give you my blessing."
"What of me, Lady Athena?" Dylah asked. Percy's eyes immediately snapped open when he heard Dylah utter the wisdom goddess' name.
"A test?" He breathed looking around at his surroundings. To his surprise, he was in the throne room of the gods with Dylah, Athena and... Percy's heart raced. "Where's Annabeth?" He asked doing a 360° in the throne room looking for his beloved Wise Girl.
"I'm right here, Seaweed Brain." Her voice sounded from Athena's throne. Percy looked at the goddess of wisdom's throne in longing. Then he spotted her.
Annabeth was sitting on Athena's throne-though, Percy didn't know how Athena mustered up so much self control to not blast her daughter into tiny Annabeth pieces-her hair was no longer caked in her own (and a little bit of Percy's, sadly) blood, her orange Camp Half-Blood t-shirt and blue cut off shorts weren't in tatters like before making Percy think that she'd been tortured while Percy was unconscious. And her face, her beautiful face held so much love and passion that Percy didn't know that they could love each other more than they already did.
"Wise Girl." Percy breathed in relief and visibly relaxed. Annabeth smiled and hopped down from her mother's throne. Percy smiled lovingly back, but then looked behind him to Athena who was looking at the pair with her dark eyebrows raised above her clear eyes.
"Well?" She asked looking sternly. "Go on." Percy's smile grew even bigger. As soon as he turned around, he was knocked over by a head full of lemon scented, honey blonde princess curls. His Wise Girl.
"I love you so much, Wise Girl." Percy whispered in Annabeth's ear.
Annabeth smiled ad responded, "I love you more, Seaweed Brain." Her grey eyes sparkled with love and pride for her loyal boyfriend. Percy couldn't help himself anymore. He crashed his longing lips into Annabeth's soft strawberry tasting ones.
Annabeth yelped in surprise, but quickly kissed her Seaweed Brain back. Percy moaned in pleasure as he trailed his hands down her back and ending at her hips, pulling her close. Annabeth gladly let him as she wrapped her arms around Percy's neck and playing with his untamed, black hair that she fell so madly in love with just like every other thing about him. Like the way his face scrunches up when he's confused or the way his beautiful sea green eyes coax her into doing something completely stupid with him with one puppy dog eyed look. What Annabeth loved most was, the way he blushed when he embarrassed himself with what he was insecure about. Annabeth was actually surprised to find out that he was right a lot of the time even though Percy thought he was completely wrong. It made Annabeth's heart melt.
"Leave them, lady Athena. They've been away from each other for too long."
"How dare you tell me what to do." Athena snapped. "You were just a pawn in my plan, Drew."
Drew smiled and looked back at the couple. "Take my hand, lady Athena. I want to show you something." Athena warily took Drew's hand then gasped. Around Percy was a sea green aura that shone brightly. And around her daughter was a grey aura. Then, right next to the couple were two lace ribbons. One grey and one sea green. They were so tightly entwined that Athena couldn't tell where the ends were. It was like there was no end. Or beginning. They twisted around each other so tightly, they were almost one. And what surprised Athena the most was that the ribbons had this glow and every two seconds or so, they would pulse. Almost like a heartbeat.
"They're alive." Athena whispered obviously talking about the ribbons. Drew nodded.
"Yes they are." She agreed. "You see, Athena, even if you tried, you couldn't break them apart. Nothing could. No one could. They're meant to be together."
