Faith's POV
This person is definitely not Dekka, this person is a boy. I make a high pitch screeching sound and stumbled a few steps backward. I couldn't catch my balance before I started to fall. I knew I would fall, I just knew it. But then I guess I just, stop falling. There is a strong hand pulling me back up. I opened my eyes and saw him right in front of my face. His eyes made me melt, they were so piercing.
"Uh, hi?" I almost drooled at how handsome he was. I blushed at his muscles. He didn't seem like he wasn't getting enough food.
"You're the girl, huh?" He said while studying me.
"Um, yes?" I answered, wincing away from him.
"I'm Caine." He says and I realized that he does look exactly how Dekka described him. "Sit down, let me tell you some information."
He drags me over to sit on the couch and than sits beside me. He starts to explain how everyone was eating lunch when Dekka let it slip about me, and how he instantly came here, after talking to his associate. Every once in a while I nod or shake my head when he asks about specific details on some things. I even tell him my name, but hesitantly. It must have been the determined look on his face that made me want to tell him.
"Come, follow me." He gets up and starts to walk away. I rise from my spot on the couch and follow him.
He takes me down various different corridors, all of them looking the same. After about ten times of me asking where we were going and him just ignoring me, he finally says that I'm going to meet a friend of his.
We arrive at a door that had a plaque with 'Office' on it. He opens the door lazily and strides in laid-back like. I follow him in and see a girl about my age sitting on a chair to the side of the room twirling a pencil around her finger.
"Diana." She rose as she heard what I assumed was her name.
"This must be the girl you were telling me about." She said. "Hi. I'm Diana." She reached out to shake my hand. A surprised look crossed her face as she touched me, but it went away quickly. "Caine, can I talk to you for a second?" She asked as she pulled away. He nodded and they walked over to what I assumed is the closet and they closed the door.
"She is a three." I heard a whispered voice say.
"What? She can't be!"
"She is."
"Are you sure?"
"One-hundred percent."
"I'll deal with it."
They walked out of the closet and Caine grabbed my arm harshly and started dragging me out the door. No matter what I said or did, he wouldn't let go, he wouldn't even tell me where we were going. As we went down twists and turns through the corridors again, we came to a door with a plaque that read "Cafeteria". Thinking I was about to eat, I burst through the door without Caine opening it for me.
I was definitely wrong about getting food. There were boys and girls with pained expressions on their faces sitting on benches or kneeling down, because they were unable to stand. I even saw Dekka in one of the far corners, with the same pained expression on her face. They all had one thing in common though. Their hands all had a block of concrete on them.
"What's going on?" I asked, shrinking away from the room.
"Well, I kind of lied to you when I said all I did was talk to Diana before I went to see you." Caine replied, shrugging. "I'm sorry, well, not really, but the same thing has to happen to you." He tossed me into the cafeteria like I weighed nothing. Except I actually did weigh nothing. He didn't even touch me. He threw me with some kind of force, I can't really explain it, it was like a power, a force maybe, like he threw me with his mind, but that's impossible, right? "I'll be back in about a few hours with some concrete." He finished with an evil look in his eyes.
