Sometime in life you make a decision that looks good at that time but never take into account that it could change everything you've ever dreamed of. Most times these decisions could be the best choices and others no so much. In Carlyn's case her decision to marry Tremaine and carry their first child was a decision that gave her a new lease on life. Carlyn woke up bright and early on the first day of their honeymoon beaming. Although she was only 9 weeks along her little belly began to grow and she gently touched it admiring its small size. She went to look at herself in the mirror and she could see the glow that everyone was talking about. As her eyes were being pulled away from her face and to her baby bump she let out a little giggle and shook her head.

"Well....little person....pretty soon I won't look like this. You'll snatch away my body and turn it into a good year blimp. So much for bikini season." Carlyn joked.

She couldn't take her eyes off her expanding belly. She had no idea that a love like this would be something that she would ever experience. Carlyn was so overwhelmed with how much love she had and with that was able to create a part of her and her husband through love that it brought tears to her eyes. Tremaine who had just stepped out of the room for a moment to ask for some extra towels had come back to find his new bride in this unusual state and ran to her side worried.

"What's the matter baby? Did you need something? Are you in pain?" He asked her.

"No! Not at all! I'm just very........happy!" Carlyn told him with a teary giggle.

Tremaine let out a deep breath of relief and took her in his arms.

"Oh! Thank god. I thought something was wrong the way you were holding your stomach like that."

"Everything's fine. I promise. I just......can't believe that we're going to be parents! It's scary and exciting all at the same time! I can hardly keep myself from smiling sometimes. I didn't think for a million years that a street urchin like me would ever have a life like this."

Carlyn recalled her days of being in the orphanage and left to fend for herself until her meeting with Prince changed her whole life. Their relationship had a rough and complicated start but Prince was willing to give her something that she was missing the most. A caring parent and a happy home to call her own. She figured now that she was older that if it weren't for Prince she probably would have been in jail or dead somewhere. Carlyn felt as if that she was forever in debt to her father and had an idea that came to mind.

"Tre?" she called to her husband who was nestling his nose in her neck taking in the PINK by Victoria Secret body mist she was wearing.

"Yes my pregnant beauty?" he replied.

"When we get back we should have a big dinner party with my dad."

Tremaine pulled his head up to see Carlyn's face thinking this was some kind of joke because he knew that the woman she despised the most was also going to be in attendance at this dinner.

"Are you sure about that Carly?" he asked her worried.

"Well yeah! Why wouldn't I be?"

"Sooooo you're good with Tori being there?"

"Tori is the last person I want to worry about right now. I know she's a money train riding hoochie mama looking for a way to cash out. That thought in her little tick sized brain won't last long because I will shut her down before she can blink her Dollar General eye lashes. Fake ass weave wearin-"

"Baby! It's not like she's here right now and already you're dragging her." Tremaine laughed as he kissed her cheek.

"Oh I haven't dragged her yet." Carlyn huffed putting her hair up in a ponytail.

"Remember you're pregnant woman." Tremaine shot at her.

"That don't mean nothin'! I'm tellin' you Tre she tries me one more time and I'm gonna tax that ass!"

Tremaine could only laugh and shake his head at how upset Carlyn was. He was used to her getting so upset that it was always a funny sight to see.

"Well drag her after the baby gets here. For now......you don't need the stress. Let's just go and enjoy this warm weather and have a good time this week. Maybe if your good I'll treat you to a massage." Tremaine said to her romantically.

"Oooo! What kind of massage?" Carlyn giggled like a school girl.

"You're so nasty. Check them hormones of yours." Tremaine joked taking Carlyn in his arms again.

"You started it! That's how you got me looking like Shamu now!"

"But it was good though right?" Tremaine asked her seductively.

"See there you go again. Tryin' to be all freaky. So are we gonna go eat cuz a girl is starving!"

"We sure are! There's a nice little Italian place down the way from the hotel. I hear its pretty good!"

"Well then let's stop talking and go get to eatin'!"

The two left their hotel room hand in hand and headed for the restaurant. The beaming sun enhanced Carlyn's pregnant glow and Tremaine caught sight of it and was taken aback at how beautiful she was. Out of instinct he pulled her closer to him as they walked the streets with pride. If he was never more in love with Carlyn before he definitely is now. Just as they got to the doors of the dining establishment Carlyn's phone rang in her pocket and she wasted no time to pull it out and answer. It was Regan calling and she was happy to see her calling but what was she calling about? Considering the time difference it was pretty late in Minnesota. There was a tightness that began to form in her chest and she was immediately concerned as she answered. The first person that came to mind was her father.

"Hello?" She answered trying to mask her worry.

"Hey princess! I'm sorry if i'm bothering you but I wanted to talk to you about something. Ya gotta minute to talk?"

Carlyn could tell that Regan didn't sound like her usual bubbly self and she was curious to know what was going on however it had to wait a while.

"Uhhhhh......I was actually about to have dinner. Can I call you back?"

"Sure! just give me a buzz when you're done!"

  "Mom what's the matter?"

"Now don't start worrying about it. Go have a good time and call me in a bit."

  "Ok...well.....I love you."

  "I love you too!"

Carlyn hung up the phone and her mind started racing and Tremaine could see it.

  "Everything ok?" He asked.

"It was my mom. Something's going on at home but she didn't tell me what yet."

"Well let's eat first and then call her when we get back."

What was going on back at Paisley that had Regan so flustered Carlyn wondered. What she was about to be told was going to rock the bottom out of her whole world and nothing was going to prepare for it. Not even a fancy meal.
