Chapter 3: In the forest

Kerrin's POV
Its been a whole week now...We were heading towards the city now but we were still in the forest ,in the carrige  and the sun was beginning to set.

"Kerrin! Why you look so sad? A beauty like you should smile more often " I looked to my left and there stood one of the twins,Larry, he winked at me which made me feel uncomfortable.

Then someone came from behind Larry and smacked his head "OW THAT HURTS BARRY!"
"Larry dont go flirting to kerrin, cant you see that she is uncomfortable with your sudden approach?" It was Barry the twin of larry "sorry about that kerrin he may be a casanova but I assure you that he is a good guy "

Barry said with a smile , boy were these 2 complete opposite or what. Then the carriage stopped in huge opening part of the forest, "alright! Everyone lets camp here for the night!" Asher said as he went down from the carriage.
I went down as well and began to help unpack the stuffs we need for the night,

"Hey kerrin!" Collien called out to me "please do me a favor and grab some woods for me? I need it to cook for tonights dinner." I gave her a nod and went a bit into the forest to grab some woods, there i found a lake, it was huge and it sparkled cause of the light of the setting sun .

"Wow ..." i thought to myself, I sat there for awhile just to let this wonderful view sink in. Then i heard rustling in the bush "Whose there? " and i stood up heading towards the bush when all of a sudden a man pounced on me pinning me to the ground, "GAAAH!" Dang he is way too strong, shit what the  hell do i do?!?

Tobias POV
I was standing on guard to make sure everything was clear for us for the night , I reported to Asher that things were clear.

"Thanks for your hard work Tobias" he said "no problem "  as i began to head back to my post, collien came to me with a worried expression on her face.

"Tobias have you seen Kerrin? " "no why?" I asked "well i asked her to gather some wood for me and she hasn't come back yet" Collien said as she looked down still looking all worried, sigh* i swear that girl causing problems for others.. "dont worry collien ill find that tiny brat " i said reassuring her and left to find kerrin who was last seen walking towards the lake . I was heading to the lake when i heared kerrin saying "Whose there?" What? Did she her me coming ?

"GAAAH!" When i heared Kerrins scream and went over to see her pinned down by a man covered in cloak "GET OFF HER!" I said as I swing my sword towards the man, he doged it though "Tobias!?" Kerrin said as she  stand up

"seriously Kerrin cant you not cause a problem for like one day?"

"WELL EXCUSE ME IM TRYING MY BEST NOT TOO!" She said all mad and red. I looked back over to where the cloaked man was standing and waited to see what he would do next "hmm interesting ... " the man said "what do you mean interesting? Are you some sort of creep?"  I said  "no... soon you will know who i am hehehe " the man grabbed something from within his cloak and threw down some sort of smoke bomb and once the smoke was clear he was gone. 

I looked over to see if kerrin was still with me and thank the gods, if she was gone Asher would have been furious, "who was that man..."

kerrin didnt even know him... looks like we got more  mysteries to solve "come on kerrin lets head back, we should report this to Asher" Kerrin just nodded, she then went to pick up the woods she had collected and we headed back to our camp.

Asher's POV
I see Tobias and Kerrin coming out from the forest, Kerrin went to where collien was while Tobias came over to me so then i asked
"What happened Tobias?"
He then told me about an unknown man who pinned down Kerrin ,it seems that man was after Kerrin for whatever reason.

"So what should we do Asher that man said we will know him soon... and i dont like that sound of that really " Tobias said looking at the distance to where the city would be. In all honesty im worried as well knowing that someone is after Kerrin and could possibly hurt my guild members...

I thought to myself for second then gave my orders to Tobias of putting up security rounds for the night "Alright but are you still sure you want to keep Kerrin with us ..." Tobias said looking at kerrin who was now sitting by the camp fire

"I promised i would help her and i keep my word " i said , Tobias then looked at me angrily then said "Look! We dont know this girl ok?! Cant we just let someone else take her in and someone else to cause problems?! "

"If i recalled werent you just like her once, a boy who was lost and alone in a forest that my former guild leader picked up.." i said too much , Tobias just looked at me and left without another word .
" Sigh* ill apologize to him tomorrow ... what a night"

Kerrin's POV
I woke up to the sounds of the bird chirping, and some members were slowly packing things up.
"Morning kerrin" i looked over to see Asher who was carrying some boxes

"G-goodmorning Asher! Is there anything i can help?" I asked since i wanted to help out and not be just some old bag of bones.

"Yep! Since you're quite strong why dont you go to where the girls are and help out carrying their boxes ok?" He said with a smile and went on his way to the carriage.

I then went over to where Maddie and Collien was "KERRINNN!! Goodmorning!! I was greeted by the energetic Maddie who hugged me tight.

"Maddie chill down, you might crack Kerrins bones if you hug her that tight"  me and collien chuckled at maddie who was pouting cause of colliens statement
"Oh by the way Kerrin what brongs you here? " Collien asked as she packed up some of their stuff

"Well i was wondering if their is anything i could help with?" Collien then gave me a huge box full of utensils "thought you never asked hehe!" So she was hoping for me to come and help her out i mean considering how heavy it was and all.

So i was walking towards the carriage when i bumped into someone "ow..s-sorry didnt see where i was goi-" it was Tobias and i was expecting him to say something again but all he did was scoff at me and left.
"Whats his problem?"
"Well seems like he and asher had a bit of an argument last night and now he is  pouting about it" said a man , i looked to see that it was Larry 
"Wow first time hearing you talk normally ..." i said

"ouch! That hurts Kerrin but ya know its fine as long its a beautiful girl like you" he said wiggling his brows

I laughed by the sight of it and larry was shocked by my sudden burst of laughter.

Larry's POV
She...she is laughing? Hmm lets see if i can make her laugh even more... maybe this way i can talk to her easily

"Hey kerrin, what do you call an alligator in a vest? " i asked her

"Wh-what hehe..." she said between her laughing breath
"An INVESTIGATOR !" I said and kerrin looked at me for a sec and started to laugh again..

"Ahaha looks like my puns are just punny for ya wasent it " i said as i picked up the huge box she placed down "st-stop it hehe!" She lightly punched my shoulder as we headed our way to the carriage and we for once talked about different things at the same time still putting in some pick up lines during the talk hehehe

Glad i met someone like me after a such a long time ....
