chapter 11: behind the doors

KERRIN'S POV

After that nonsense with Tobias we all went to the big door.

"Its quite specatcular how someone had the time to make the doors design look beautiful!"

Aldo the smith commented, he looked like a child checking out a toy as he was looking at the door that was covered in gold and silver with vines surrounding 2 person on each side.

Both had wings but the difference was that on the left silver side of the door it had a ring above its head while the other side on the right with the golden door has a horn instead.

"Are they..?" I said while pointing at the door.

"Yes, an angel and a demon" Asher replied

"Oh.. wonder who had the time to make such a big ass door"

"Dont know but whoever did made it must have been some sort of worshiper of them"

"Worshiper?"

Asher looked at me, he turned to look at the door and began to open his mouth

"Yea.. a long time ago people used to worship the people who possessed the class of angel and demon, since they believe that they were some sort of divine cause of there strong and powerful abilities, some belive its a miracle some believe its a curse

but they still continue to worship them either way hoping that these people who possessed the class will protect them and bless them. Thats how the old tale goes anyways"

"I see.. thanks for the info!"

Asher smiled

"You're welcome kerrin"

We turn back to look at Aldo who still continued to gaze in awh at the sight of the door.

"By the way Aldo i didnt really see you since the whole trip began where were you???"

"Oh.. i was at the center while all of you were fighting, i may look big and tough but im still learning how to weild my axe properly" Aldo stated as he continues to inspect the giant door.

We just chuckled at the sight of aldo, he reminds me of a child

"Alright! Thats enough looking Lets push this door then shall we gentlemens?"

We all then began to push the door open and with a loud bam the door was completely opened.

Fire began to lit at sides as it runs down a made path and there we can see thousands of treasures, gold, silver, bronze, gems and many more!

Everyone cheered and began to bag those treausures in.

"Im gonna look around ok??"

"Yea sure just dont go to far!"

Asher said and he turns back to keep on eye on the rest of the team memebers.

I began to rumage around the treasury from gold necklace, rubies, emeralds and much more.

None of it really matters to me but if it means I can get cash then why the hell not I must be crazy if I dont. I continued to stuff more gold into my small sack that was hanging around my waist when i noticed something at the far end.

I look back to see that the others are still continuing to stuff gold into there bags and pockets, i took this chance to sneak away and see what lays at the far end.

Asher's POV

I was stuffing some gold along with the men, I stood up and started to check where kerrin was and in the nic of time i saw kerrin going deeper to the far end

"Larry, Barry, kerrin went to the far end go after her, as you may notice trouble seems to accompany her a lot "

"More like a pain" Tobias stated

I just gave him a look and he went back to helping the men

"Quickly you two" I told the Twins

"Yes sir!"

And off they go... i swear we really do attract a lot of mysterious people...

Kerrin's POV

I went in deeper into these halls of gold and there i saw a pedestal and on that pedestal was a dusty old book, Barry came from behind me taking a peek of what i was now holding in my hands " ya know this place is full of gold and other jewels but why is an old book doing here?" I gave him a shrug and decided to check the book and inside it... was blank? "Its an empty book then welp thats just sad, ill head my way back to larry k?" Barry left and i contjnued to examine the book but i still dont get why leave this book in a middle of gold and silver ... *ill just bring this along i can write on it just incase i get another amnesia haha.. yea bad joke me* I took the book with me and headed back to where larry and Barry was.

ASHERS's POV

I looked at my men who seemed ready after gathering golds and jewels as much as they can.

"All right everyone! are you all ready to head back out?" Everyone all stated that they were ready and we began to leave the cave towards back home.

As we arrived back at the tavern everyone was celebrating for our success in the cave and as i was speaking with some of then men Tobias came to me and asked "Hey ash i need to speak to you... privately" he then left towards the back door that led to the training grounds and I followed.

"Whats the problem Tobi?" I asked
"Dont call me Tobi ... but i need to ask you something... do you realize that our guild has... weird people?"

"Arent you weird too Tobias? Haha!"
"This isnt a joke Asher.. today kerrin acted up weird again and i noticed larry was able to get through that mist that burned my dang arm and why ddint he get burned? Why is it that things started to be more and more weird whe-"

" woah Tobias calm down .. I know for a fact that larry is immune to some magic and im not sure what mist you are talking about but then again we did pick up a mysterious girl did we haha" i said as i give my friend a pat on the back.

"Ok ok you got a point there...but..do you trust them Asher.. like really.. do you?" Tobias asked with a straight face to me .. was he worried that our members arent trust worthy?

"Yes Tobias i do, dont worry if they do betray our trust.. we will show them no mercy to those who betrays us"

I looked straight at Tobias as I spoke those words with full sincerity and he just let out a breath and said,
"ok Asher lets call it a night im beat from babysitting them ugh"

I just let out a chuckle as Tobias went back in the tavern, the wind picked up and i decided to look at the moon that was shining so brightly tonight.

"Yea we all got some unique people in this group I guess.." i said to myself as i went back to the noisy tavern full of drunken men
