Chapter 10

Shawn's POV

" He just needed a little rest and he'll get better"

" For how many days doc? "

"I think for a day ,he'll be okay Mrs. Mendes " "I recommend to give him a bedrest"

"Okay doc I will,thank you very much! "
I hear my mom and my doctor having a conversation with each other. I heard the door shut then I hear a sigh from my mom.

I decided to wake up. I move my self a bit but I can feel the pain on my stomach. I open my eyes and seeing my mom watching over me. She began to hug me.

"Hey honey, are you okay? Does it still hurts? " she asked then she checked me.

"Mom, dont worry im okay now" I told her then pushing her softly. She nods, I can feel that she's mad at me. I can tell it on her body language. Is it because I saved her? When I saved the person I like?

"Mom what's wrong? " I asked her to answer my questions in my head.

"Shawn, all I wanted to happen is just you and Aaliyah to be safe.I dont want you and your sister to get hurt" she answered quickly.

Is that all she wanted to say? I know she's lying. She seem so nervous when I asked her. I decided to leave it there. I move myself once again to pick my phone up. But suddenly my stomach hurts again, I groan in pain.

"Shawn,your doctor told me that you're not allowed to move yet! " she said as she lay me back to bed then I suddenly hear the door opens. I think he's my doctor.

"Shawn, you just needed a rest for a day and you're now allowed to go to school. I recommend you to go home now for you to rest properly. Excuse me" the doctor said then leaves.

An hour later, I started fixing my stuff while my mom is at the counter to pay the bills. I grab my phone and I smile with my teeth when I saw a lot of missed calls and texts from Camila. Aww thats a sweet of her! I decided to reply her back when I got home.

"Shawn are you ready? " my mom asked grabbing the keys on the table. "Yeah mom, just a sec" I answered then quickly zip my bag. I slide my bag on my shoulders then we went at the parking lot.

I place my stuff at the backseat then I saw a film from an instax. I pick up the photo, I saw myself there with a girl. We're standing infront of our company. That girl was familiar. I know her name before when I was around at the age of 7. Wait, I finally remembered! Its Paige. I know she's also studying at my school.

"What was that Shawn? " my mom asked, I quickly placed the film in my pocket. "Oh nothing mom, I-I just dropped my phone" then I give her a fake smile. I continue to place my stuff there then hopped in at my mom's car. Mom started the car then she started driving. "Shawn tell me what happened?" she asked as she drive us home. "I saved my friend thats all" I told her. "Who is it? I only know Cameron, Nash, Mat-" "Its Camila" I cutt her off.

"Do you like her Shawn? " she looked at me. I didn't expect that she's going to ask that. I feel like im frozen now. Should I tell her my feelings for her? I dont want to break my promise to my mom. She told me not to fall in love when I was 7. But it happend I didn't obe-- "Shawn? " she cutts my thoughts off "Ye-No mom" i lied and nervously said. "Good" What does she mean? "What do you mean ?" "Its about our company, you'll know it soon"
Is it about fixed marriage? No! I dont want to get married with the person I dont like. My mind is full of thoughts about what my mom said.

We finally arrived home. I hear my phone rings then I quickly went upstairs and texted Camila.

C: Hey Shawn, I just wanted to apologize on what happened last 2 days. Im sorry if Austin beat you up. Im truly sorry Shawn

I smiled at the text she sent me. She's so sweet but I know for her eyes Im just one of her closest friends. I texted her back hoping for a reply soon.

S: Hey, thank you for caring. Just remember that I'm here for you! Btw I'm coming back to school tomorrow. Can we go out after class? *wink*

C: Of course Shawn! See you tomorrow

I made a huge smile on my face. This is the sweetest message I've ever received! I love it when she cares about me that much. Can't wait to see her tomorrow especially on our 'date'.
