Lyne Raina Jean-Claude. I haven't heard that name in a long time, not since after our breakup when I found out she was moving back to Haiti to study voodoo from her grandmother again. If I had to use only one word to describe her it would be wild. The last time I had seen her she had bright red hair and caramel colored skin. Her hazel eyes stood out vividly from her hair and skin, sometimes they became so bright and took a haunted look in them, she claimed it was her voodoo magic. She had been born before Rowdy, so he learnt everything he knew from her, but she's always been the crazier one. She parties harder than anyone I know, has an alcohol tolerance you won't believe, and not to mention she is one sensual girl, a true seductress if I’ve ever met one. Lyne doesn't care what anyone thinks, she lives in the moment not thinking of anything other than what is happening, it's what attracted me in the first place. She didn't take Darcie's bull and stuck with me through everything, but Lyne will be Lyne. On a trip to Jamaica she got a bit too drunk and met a guy, the rest is history. When Rowdy told me I immediately broke it off with her, she was heartbroken, she really didn't mean it. I couldn't stay with her though, cheaters are the worst.
"Hey cuz," Lyne turns to face me, "Hey Sexy, looking good as ever I see," her eyes travel up my body stopping in a certain place below the waist. Lyne stalks toward me, staring at me like a predator watches its' next prey.
It's my turn to examine her now; she's still the same alluring girl that caught my eye the first time. "So the black hair is back, I see?" I ask lazily as I stealthily slide out from her grasp.
She grins slyly, "Still big as ever, Dominic?" Her voice drops a pitch and I can hear her Haitian accent stand out a little bit more.
Rowdy decides it's his time to voice his opinion, "Aw, cuz still bad as ever?" He winks at me while I feel the blush creep into my cheeks.
She pinches my cheek adoringly as I shrug away from her touch. A thought pops into my head and I feel the smirk playing on my lips, "Rowdy," I shake my head grinning, "If only you knew the half of it."
Rowdy loses his smile as disgust forms on his face. My last comment causes Lyne to giggle like a school girl. She winks at me, the sign for the game we used to play. "Trust me there was no half to it," Lyna replies as she examines her already perfect manicure.
Rowdy's face contorts into horror and I playfully punch him in the arm. "Rowdy, we're just messing with you. We wouldn't really tell you what went on in the bedroom."
Lyne nods in agreement, "Yeah, though I’m surprised you didn't hear what went on, I am a screamer after all." I try to stifle my laughter but soon I'm practically on my floor cracking up.
Rowdy immediately sticks his fingers in his ears and screams at the top of his lung, "Lalalalala!" He gets up and sits between us. After a few seconds when he realizes we're not talking anymore, "I need to keep you two apart with all these hormones flying around here, it's not going to be long before Dominic jumps my ass!"
Lyne pats us both on the shoulders, "I can sense a bromance coming on, I'm going to get out of here while I still can," she smirks at us. I can see the glint in her eyes but I know better than to get between her and what she wants. She stands up showing off her toned legs and places a friendly kiss on mine and Rowdy's cheek.
I lean back comfortably into the couch, "Your cousin sure is something," I say. We continue talking when we hear the sound of engine roaring to life and the tires squealing as someone poorly mistreats the car. I get up to see what's going on when I a smile comes across my face. "Rowdy, you have insurance right?"
