"I'm going to kill you guys!",Lissa muttered under breath as we got down from the car ,"Seriously? You guys thought that you'd get me drunk and I'd go to Mike and babble out everything?"

"Well till some point it helped.", I said matter-of-factly.

She shook her head then hit Mike, who just joined us, gently on the top of his head,"And you has to keep a party on Sunday? Couldn't your keep it on Saturday? So I wouldn't be hungover on a Monday."

"Sorry babe.", Mike replied sheepishly.

Well this was Lissa's hungover speaking.

"But on the brighter side, you did have the time of your life.", Chloe piped in.

Lissa shot her a flat look.

"Okay okay! Just go and take another asprin.", I said as Mike took Lissa away.

"Oh.. There's Nicole and others. Let's go.", Chloe said gesturing to our other friends.

Susan, Amanda, Alex, Travis, Mason and Justin were our other friends.

Amanda and Alex were twins. Their cousin was getting married and had to be out for two weeks straight.

Susan's great grandmother passed away so she was there.

While Travis, Mason and Justin were suspended for a week for spilling an entire bucket of water on Ms Nelson, the head.

So in short no one was here for the last week.

"Oh my goodness. It's so good again.", Amanda shouted as she jumped to hug Chloe and me in a group hug.

"Same here Amy! You've missed so much here!", Chloe said.

"What have I missed?", Amanda demanded.

"We have missed something big Amy! Look Lissa and Mike.", Susan said pointing over to Lissa and Mike, who were walking towards us.

"Amy! Susie!",Lissa shouted as she pulled both of them into a hug.

"Hey girls! Hey guys!", Mike said.

"Finally someone acknowledges us. Hi Mike. ", Justin waved like a little girl.

"Hi Justin.", I say mischievously.

He pouted and turned his face away.

"Aw, little Justie is angry?", Chloe cooed.

"I hate you. I haven't seen you for a week and you don't even greet me!", Justian said.

Every group has a Joker.

Ours happened to be Justin.

We pulled him into a hug.

"Hey Justin, just so you know, you're turning more female everyday.", Mason said, leaning on the wall.

"What? You jealous Mason?", Justin cooed. One thing about Justin. He'd never get angry.

"Oh! As if.", Mason said rolling his eyes. Mason was "Dad" of our gang.

We all burst out laughing for no reason at all.

"We should hang out at Macy's after school guys! Everyone free after school?", Susan chirps.

Everyone replies a hmm together.

"Oh and I'm calling it a girls night. At my place. ", Amanda adds.

Another round of hmm pass through.

"Oh.. I have to talk to Adam. I'll be back in a minute!", I said as I step towards where Adam was standing.

"Omg! Is that William O'Neil?", I hear Susan and immediately want to bang my head.

I'm dead tired of listening this!

"Hey Adam. ", I said.

"Oh Grace! Good you found me. I wanted to tell you something.", Adam said.

"Woah! Same here!", I reply," You go first! "

"Okay. Um.. mom called. She wants us for dinner tonight. ", he said.

"But I'm spending the night at Amy's.", I whined.

"I'm sorry Grace. But I can't help it.", Adam shrugs.

"But... what do they want?", I ask.

"Cee it's okay. Everthing will be fine.", Adam said concerned.

The last time my parents called us for dinner left my life upside down.

I sigh deeply,"Okay. When?"

"At 7.", he said nodding my way, as he walked away.

I sigh and rub my palms. What was so essential that they wanted to have us for dinner?

I unknowingly take a step backwards. But someone was  standing behind me and I almost fell down.

But, that person luckily caught me by my waist and spun me towards him.

And I my luck was very bad because that person happened to be the one and only William O'Neil.

My cheeks burned red as soon as I realised our closeness and the fact that William's hand was still on my waist.

I stepped back after a minute and scowled, trying to hide my embarrassment.

"William! What was this?", I scowled.

"Well it was the only way to grab your attention. It was worth your face.", he laughed.

"Don't do that again. I could have fallen down.",I protested.

"I held you Gracie.", William laughed.

For some reason I could not think of a proper comeback. Maybe it was because William's hand was on my waist.

"Okay. So what do you want?", I said crossing my hand over my chest defensively.

"Nothing I just wanted to ask if you were okay.",William said.

"I'm okay. Your job's done.",I say.

"You certainly weren't while talking to Adam.", he said.

"I'm fine William.", I said, tired.

"Bu-", he continues but I cut him.

"Drop it O'Neil.", I said and take another step back. His hand dropped to his side.

"Okay if you say so.", William replied, shrugging.

"Huh.. well I have to go.", I said awkwardly not knowing what to say.

"Yeah..", William said awkwardly too.

I walk back to my group and say," Hey I'm sorry I wouldn't be able to make it. My parents have arranged a dinner. Have to go."

"Oh dear. We'll have it tomorrow then!", Amanda shrugged.

"Yeah.", Susan and Chloe said together.

"By the way, why was William O'Neil's hand on your waist? What did we miss?", Amanda asked excitedly.

"Oh my God! It was.. William was being a jerk. Stop your imagination. It was nothing. ", I said trying to convince them.

I know them. They might be imaging the worst scenarios.

"Oh darling, a guy doesn't go out of his way and be concerned just for nothing. There's definitely something. See ya later!", Susan winked as she and girls walked ahead to their classes leaving me hanging.

Why the hell everyone thinks something is cooking?
