Old him and new him

"Hey cupcake!", I hear a voice next to my ear, which made me jump.

Actually jump.

I jumped up from my couch, where I was snuggled so comfortably, and hit my knee on the table , and fell down flat on my butt on the carpeted floor.

And guess who made me jump?

His royal pain-in-ass

"WHAT THE FUCK WILLIAM O'NEIL!!??"

He doubled over laughing, grasping his stomach for air.

Yeah yeah, very funny.

NOT!

"You.. oh my God. ..Grace...", William tried to say between gasping for air.

I throw a cushion at him, trying to hide my face face which is redder than a tomato.

Was it that funny?

"You're still a baby Grace! ", William said trying to hold his laughter.

On which, by the way, he was doing a very bad job.

He offered me his hand to get up.

Woah!! When did he become a gentleman?

As much as I wanted to brush away his hand , I was kinda stuck between the U-shaped couch and circular table .

So I took his hand and got up,and dusted my jeans.

"Why the hell are you in my house?",I asked him, with narrowed eyes.

"Well since this is my best friend's house, I'm welcome anytime I want to. Also I had a lot of catching up to do", he said, shrugging casually.

"Yeah, that's called gossiping O'Neil. That's the gay in you speaking.",I said rolling my eyes.

"Woah! You certainly grew up Gracie!",he said, smirking,"Questioning my masculinity?"

Before he could make any other sexual innuendo, Adam thankfully came in.

"Uh! My sister again Will?", Adam said, amused.

"He was in dire need to show his asshole self ", I said, annoyed.

"And to see how much of a crybaby your little sister is!", William smirked.

"Come on Will ! Don't bother her anymore!", Adam said clearly enjoying my discomfort!

What kind of an elder brother was he?

"Hello sweetheart! "

"Please....please stay away from me!"

"We both know you want me!"

"I....d-don't!"

I could feel his hands on me .

His dirty eyes on me.

"Stay away!"

I try to shout for help.

But there is no one around!

I woke up shouting for help.

I heard my bedroom door fly open and someone ran inside.

Adam.

"Grace are you okay!"

This is not Adam. It's ...... its William.

In my confused state ,I'm even more confused.

Where's Adam? Why isnt he here? Why is William here?

Then I realise I'm sweating and shivering. My face is wet from tears. More tears are streaming down my cheeks.

William turns on the bedside lamp and offers me a glass of water.

But I can't stop shivering.

"It's okay Grace, it was just a nightmare!",William said softly ,while rubbing my back.

I look at William. He has an encouraging smile on his face but there is a concerned look in eyes.

This is a whole new William.

After almost ten minutes I calm down.

William tucked me into bed still telling me it's okay.

Just as I'm about to fall asleep on hear him say," Good night Grace! Sleep well, and don't be afraid I'm here for you."

Just then sleep took over me.
