Chapter Five

We walked down the stairs with Anthony right on our heels.

"Exscuse me. Can you back up. I can practically feel you breathing down my neck."

"Oh. Right. Sorry." Anthony sounded embarrassed almost. Did he feel attracted to her? Oh well. I'll ask Sidney about it later.

"Thank you. Where's the bathroom?" Of course the pregnant woman would have to pee.

"Come. I'll take you." Anthony doesn't seem to talk much. But now I'm left alone in the kitchen.

Gabriel walks in and takes a seat on a stool at the island. "You can sit down you know." He tells me kindly.

"I know." I start to figit "Thank you once again." I take a seat on the stool next to him. "Sidney and I are more than greatful. You're the nicest person that we've ever met. Thank you." I just couldn't stop thanking him. I was mentally thanking him for the kiss though.

"Remember he can sence and smell your arrousal. Calm down or im taking control."

I listened to my wolf. My wolf was being wise around him. I didnt want to be wise around him. I wanted him.

Oliver was almost done cooking when Sidney and Anthony joined us.

"Are there any other girls here?" I ask.

"Yes. Oliver and his mate Teigan  live here, Anthony and his mate Sofia, James and Skylar are mates but they're always arguing over little things. Eric and Pricilla live here as well. Teigan, Sofia, Eric, James, Skylar, and Pricilla are all patrolling."

"Oh okay. So wheres your mate?" I need to know if he has a mate. I'll be crumbled if he does.

"I dont have a mate." He looked down at his hands with a sad and shameful facial expression.

"Oh. Its okay dont worry im sure you'll find your mate soon." I reassure him.

He mumbled something under his breath. From what I could make out he said 'I already found her'. My body tingled with excitement.

"Dont get your hopes up. All you know is pain. Thats all you've been through. The only person that showed you kindness was Sidney."

"I know." Talking to my wolf isn't very easy. My wolf doesn't listen or agree with me more than half the time.

"What you need to do is very simple. Let him come to you. After all, he did kiss you first. He will come to you. Play hard to get. Let's see where this goes."

""I guess we can try. But you do have a point." I should at least take my wolf's ideas into consideration.

Oliver turns around with chicken, asparagus, gravy and potatoes. "Here you go ladies. I made something simple. The potatoes are made from the flakes because we don't have potatoes right now. Next time I'll make sure to have potatoes. Im very sorry."

"Thank you Oliver. It doesnt matter that they're made from the flakes. Im still so greatful that you made this for us." I thank him.

Sidney thanked him. "Thank you. You didn't have to do this though. It looks amazing." She takes a bite. "Oh my. And tastes so delicious."

It was really good. I love how he simply fried the chicken. I think there's a hint of lemon in the butter sauce he cooked it in. It was still really good.

"When you're done, id like to speak to you in my office. Alone." Gabriel says so close to my ear. I wanted to turn and kiss him. I held back.

"Okay. Is it the room at the end of the hallway on the right side? Or was it second the last?" This place was huge.
