I know what some of you may be thinking, 'Percy wasted his Call on Carter and Get Out of Jail Free Card big time'. Perhaps, but in the end it turned out that he did need Carter, not because he was good at fighting, but because he was good at healing.

Percy followed Carter to the edge of the woods and sure enough there was a van parked on the side of the road. They crept forward and could make out muffled voices. They approached the van from the back and got down on their knees.

"What are we gonna do?" Carter asked.

Percy really hadn't thought about it, though he probably should have.

"Listen I guess," he replied.

Percy started to crawl to the side of the van and fortunately one of doors were cracked open. They both took a flank of the crack and listened to the voices inside. They sounded young, teenagers like him. The first to speak was a male and had a distinct New York accent and used lots of slang. Percy nicknamed him York Boy for the time being.

"So where've you guys been? You've been gone for, like, hours."

"We ran into some trouble," another male voice spoke.

This voice sounded a lot different, precice, young, but weary.

"How has Raphael been?" Asked another. "Any changes in his condition?"

A memory tugged at Percy, that's right, this was the turtle who was making fun of Mikey.

"He's getting worse Don," York Boy replied. "He needs to go to the hospital or... I dunno, just something."

Shuffles ensued as people moved about inside the van.

"He's right," Don said, "Leo this is serious. As crazy as it sounds, we might have to go back to the city, Raph can't hold on much longer without medical attention."

Silence.

"Leo?" a female voice asked. The girl from his dream, he thought, though he couldn't be sure yet.

"I want to go back, believe me you guys, but you all know why we can't go back right now. It doesn't do Raph any good if we get ourselves killed," the weary voice replied. Leo (that was his name) what happened? Why can't you go back?

"We can't do nothing!" York boy exclaimed.

"It's ok Casey," a youthful, higher pitched voice soothed York Boy, err, Casey.

"We can't go home, but we really can't stay here," The female voice cut in. "At least twenty people saw us in those woods. We need to leave ASAP."

"Not only that, but there is something seriously weird about this place," Don replied.

"Agreed," Leo said. "Donnie, take the wheel, let's get out of here."

Percy's eyes widened and he felt his heart clench. They needed help, and Percy only attacked them and made it worse. He jumped up and started prying the door open.

"Wait! Please! Stop!" He cried.

All of the occupants of the van froze and stared at him. Carter came up behind him and looked in at the turtles as well.

"Please," Percy said again, "I'm sorry, I had no idea."

The second tallest turtle was the first to recover from the shock.

"It's...alright," he said quietly. Percy could finally put a face to the voices he heard, that was Leo. "We, uh, appreciate your concern."

"Please let us help," Carter said from behind. "My name is Carter Kane and this is Percy Jackson. Please, I think I have something that may help."
