Leo had no idea what came over him, his logical mind was screaming that attacking these people was only going to make their situation worse, but his instinct begged him to protect his brothers. The boy raised his sword to strike, but Leo met it with a block before it could even come close to hitting him. In the moment he blocked, he kicked the young man in the stomach. The boy immediately fell backwards because his stance was so poor. This brought a howl from the table the boy was seated at earlier, and more teengagers took up their arms and charged.

Mikey jumped up next to Leo, ready to help. Over the battle cries, Leo could hear Chiron trying to get everyone's attention and take control over the situation. He managed to keep the other tables in their seats, but the mob from the one table was too preoccupied with the idea of bloodshed to pay Chiron any mind. A girl attacked Mikey with a horizontal slash. Mikey dodged with ease and while the girl was trying to recover for another attack Mikey gave her jaw a good punch and easily disarmed her. Two boys tried to charge Leo at the same time, but only managed to give Leo an opportunity to make them trip all over themselves. Chiron galloped directly in front of Leo and Mikey and blocked the rest of the teenagers before they could attack.

"ENOUGH!" Chiron roared just loud enough that the teenagers could hear him over the battle sounds and stopped, not wanting to get in deep doo doo from Chiron. "Ares cabin, I am greatly disappointed in all of you. You directly disobeyed me and there fore all of Ares cabin will be punished." He thought for a moment. "You will all have kitchen duties for a week, including washing the dishes."

Leo gave Chiron a confused stare, but all of the other tables laughed quietly at the 'Ares cabin'. Shaking his head, Leo sheathed his swords and reached out a hand to the boy who rallied the free for all. He slapped Leo's hand away and Leo raised his eyebrows in surprise. The laughter died at that. Everyone saw Leo's act of mercy and this boy had broken some unspoken rule Leo had yet to learn.

"And Alex, I will talk to you personally after cabin chores." Chiron glared at him, and Alex shrank away.

Leo looked at the ground because there wasn't anywhere else he felt safe looking. Percy attacked them in the woods because he thought Leo and his brothers were the monsters he fought all the time. This whole camp fights monsters. Leo dragged his family into a death trap! He felt like Percy and Carter lied to him, so Leo didn't look at them. Will and Nico are campers, so he didn't look at them either. Couldn't look at Chiron because he is the powerful figure that could turn the whole camp on him at once. Couldn't look at the tables because they were filled with judging eyes. In no way could he even cast a glance at Mikey because of the horrible danger Leo may have put them in. The ground didn't judge and Leo couldn't hurt it, so he looked at that.

Chiron put a hand on Leo's shoulder making him jump. Leo hesitantly looked up at the horse-man. Chiron looked at him with gentle reassurance, and Leo couldn't help but think of Master Splinter. Chiron must have taken his frown as discomfort of the other campers because he silently escorted him and Mikey to the big building next to the tables. Carter stood to follow, but Percy caught his arm and sat him back down.

Chiron escorted them to a beautifully decorated room that had many statues and paintings. Leo examined one painting in particular, a painting of three men each in their own throne that hung above a cozy fireplace. It had caught his eye originally because it reminded him of the renaissance art that Father loved so much, but there was something else that made Leo stop and look at it a moment.

At the top of the triangle there was a man dressed all in white, sitting in a gold throne that seemed to be set on top of the clouds. At the bottom left there was a skinny, sly looking man shrouded in darkness and perched on a throne of skulls. If Leo tilted his head the man really reminded him of Nico, but Nico looked less... psychopathic. Not by much, but less psychopathic nonetheless.
