"How long will she stay sleeping?"

"She used quite a bit of magical energy healing you." A feminine voice chimed. "She will wake up when she's ready."

"Salinda is not a Magi, the royal bloodline hasn't had a Magi in it for nearly 7 generations." A low soothing voice made Sal start to move.

"Salinda, dear?" Her eyes fluttered open and she was greeted with the old peaceful face of Master Fae. "How are you feeling child?"

"Drained." Sal groaned sitting up with help of a strong arm helping her up, and Sal turned to see her Father next to her. "What happened?" She looked forward to see Jed staring at her. "Are you okay?" She asked remembering back to her friend's wound.

"Perfectly healed." He lifted up his shirt to show no scar. "Thanks to you."

"What do you mean? What did I do?" Sal asked confused.

Master Fae grabbed Sal's hand, and put something in her palm. It was an apple size crystal stone, a Magi stone. The stone started to glow a deep purple, the same purple that had surrounded Sal. "You are a Magi." Master Fae said. "A healer."

"No," Sal said shaking her head. "It would have shown earlier."

"Not always, sometimes it takes something drastic for the magical ability to be called upon." She said. "For you, it was seeing Page Jedrek dying."

Sal looked to Jed, concern etched across her face. "Are you sure you're okay?" She asked.

"I am fine." He smiled. "You are the one who used up nearly all their magical energy."

"He is right." Her Father said. "You have been out for two days."

"Two days?!" Sal yelled and at the same time a glass vile shattered halfway across the room. Everyone turned to look at it, and Sal's throat tightened. "Was that..."

"That was probably me."Jed spoke interrupting Sal. Greg nodded agreeing, almost as if agreeing because he didn't want to believe that his daughter had caused it.

Sal stroked Copper as he laid on her lap. The wolf licked her hand as Jed stared at her from his spot next to her. Master Fae and Duke Gregoire were off to the side whispering, and Sal was trying to listen, but she couldn't hear anything.

"I can teach you some healing magic." Jed said.

"Shhh" Sal said waving her hand in his face.

"You won't be able to hear them, so stop trying." He said, but Sal smacked his head, however, the two adults were done talking and started walking over.

"We have been talking." Duke Greg said speaking to his daughter. "Master Fae has decided to teach you in the art of healing, so that you can learn to control your magic."

"Why just me?" Sal sassed. "There are other pages with magical abilities, such as Jed."

Duke Greg looked over to Jed. "How many other's are there?" He asked.

"Five others." Jed said.

Gregoire looked to Fae who had a blank stare, but with a slight nod he turned back to the other two. "Very well, when the pages come back, the Master's will start to teach you in your magic."

As soon as the pages came back from the winter break, Duke Greg broke the news to the pages who had the magic. The other pages who had magic were two third years, one fourth year, and two fifth years. Sal, the two fifth years, and one of the third years were healers while the other third year and the fourth year were elementals. Jed was both a healer and a elemental and the most experienced with his magic. He was also the only one with a magical creature for his Familiar.
