After returning home late Taehyung was left falling asleep next to Mark on the floor after he convinced Jungkook to be the one to use his bed. When they woke up they spent the day telling jokes with his friends. After hours of talking they walked them to the bus stop and sent them on their way back home, Hoseok promised to visit soon and Mark and Ricky nodded in agreement before following Hoseok onto the bus leaving Taehyung and Jungkook outside waving goodbye. 

Now its Monday and morning classes are coming to an end, their math teacher leaving the room telling everyone the bell for lunch should ring soon. So everyone is getting up. Like Taehyung who makes his way to the other side of the room, basically switching places with Namjoon who walked over to wear Jungkook is. 

"I saw you at your lowest point, so I want to tell you about mine" Taehyung says randomly as he stands in front of a half asleep Yoongi who lifts up his head from his desk. He doesn't answer. 

"Its almost lunch, when the bell rings, please follow me" Taehyung says very straight forward. 

Yoongi nods in responce, and then the bell rings and Taehyung waits for Yoongi to get up before walking. 

"Where are they going?" Namjoon asks Jungkook who just shrugs 

"We should go get some food I'm staving" Jungkook complains patting Namjoon's back. 

Yoongi follows Taehyung into the empty gym.

Taehyung sits on the floor and Yoongi follows him and also does the same.

"You really don't need to tell me" Yoongi says in a monotone half asleep voice. 

"I wan't to" Taehyung says and he takes a deep breath.

"My lowest point is when I lock myself in my room and blast music at the highest.. Sounds typical, Im sure many do it, but it is my lowest point, because I can't hear a thing. I sit there in silence, my phone telling me the music is on as loud as it can be. But all I hear is silence. Longing to hear something, getting nothing. I won't know when the song changes, I won't know what song is playing. Yeah apparently I can feel the vibrations of music and still enjoy it, but thats not the same. If I play music on low and I can't feel the vibrations, I don't have speakers, I get nothing"  

Yoongi sits there dumb founded. 

"You're... You...Are deaf?" Yoongi asks and Taehyung nods 

"yes, I'm new at it" 

"You carry on conversations so well" 

"Thank you I try" Taehyung says 

"explains why you look at everyone's lips as if you want to kiss them" Yoongi says jokingly and Taehyung lightly pushes Yoongi's shoulder making him laugh. They make it seem like they've known each other for years as they are smiling and laughing. 

"But honestly I'm so sorry dude" 

"Don't be, just have to continue getting used to it"

"Why don't you tell anyone?" 

"I just.. I want to be treated normal" 

They sit in silence as Taehyung looks away. 

"Thats tough" Yoongi realizes taehyung isn't looking at him and he touches his leg. Taehyung looks up at him. 

"Thats tough" he repeats himself, "who else knows?"

"Only Jungkook, and maybe some of the teachers, I'm not quite sure if my mom told them, I doubt it because they don't seem to be overly nice to me" He laughs. 

"Ah would teachers really give you an advantage though?"

"What?" Taehyung asks not getting the full sentence, Yoongi shakes his head signaling for Taehyung to forget it. 

"What do you miss hearing the most?" Yoongi asks interested, amazed that the boy in front of him has seemed to adapted to a whole new way of life.

"Everything" 

"But what is that one thing you want to hear again"

"laughter, maybe, or my own voice because then I could talk normally, I don't know how I sound right now so Im not sure if I'm whispering, yelling, I don't even know if my voice is coming out" 

"You're whispering" Yoongi admits and Taehyung presses his lips together in a straight line.

"Thats what I thought" he shakes his head, "I try" he adds

"Hey do me a favor, you don't know me well, well really you don't know me at all, but whenever I say something and its at the right sound, point at me" He says looking up at yoongi 

"I can do that, but why?"

"I'm going to try to speak normally, I want to be confident with my voice. I heard it at some point so I don't understand why now I'm all shy and holding my voice in" Taehyung admits and he smiles widely.  

"We should probably go back to lunch" Taehyung gets up and Yoongi does too following him out, unexpectedly Yoongi puts his arm cooly around Taehyung, taping his fingers on Taehyung's shoulder. 

"Whats up with them? Looking all like best friends" Namjoon says looking at the two new friends walking in.

Jungkook puts his arm out to get their attention, Taehyung sees him and smiles widely, Jungkook waves them over. 

"New friendship I guess"  

Yoongi sits next to Namjoon. 

"You guys seem close" Namjoon states with a small smile. 

"ah yeah" Yoongi says before stealing a bit of rice from Namjoon's tray. 

"Great my spoon has been contaminated by your germs" 

"more food for me" Yoongi says happily as he takes more rice. 

Taehyung gets up and makes his way to the line to get food, something he has never done since he usually packed his lunch, he takes out the money from his pocket and after a few minutes of anxiety filled standing in line he ops for the vending machine and gets a bag of chips, maybe I'm just not ready yet to go through that line alone, he thinks. He watches the silver spiral let go of the chips, and the bag drops to the bottom. 

he takes it out and sits down next to jungkook who has been watching him. Jungkook gets up and lightly pulls Taehyung to also get up and takes him to the line he got out of.  

Writing a 'you can do it' with his fingers on Taehyung's back. Taehyung fills his tray and when he gets to the lady at the end he passes the money and bows, not even having to say a word. 'See its not bad' jungkook writes on Taehyung's back then they go to sit back down.
