I woke up shivering from the cold air that was circulating through my small room. The past 5 months have been absolute hell. I haven't posted a video, nor talked to Shawn. I can't bring myself to talk to anyone. I've started school, but never go. My whole world has been flipped upside down and I can't seem to change that. I haven't seen Jackson either. His been at my grandmother's house and I haven't heard a word about how he is doing.

This morning, I decided to pull myself together and film a video. I jumped in the shower, scrubbing all the sorrow off my body, then drying off. I put on minimal makeup and left my hair damp.

"Hey guys! Sorry I haven't updated in five months. My family recently moved to Canada, so life has been a little crazy. Today, I will be doing a cover of To Make You Feel My Love."

I dropped my phone on my small mattress and dug through my "closet", aka a cardboard, box for an outfit. I picked out black cropped sweatpants, a white tank, a gray sweater, and white Keds. I threw my hair into a high ponytail before grabbing my penny board and skating out to Tim Hortons.

I walked through the glass door to see Shawn sitting in a booth by himself. As we made eye contact, he waved me over.

"Hey cute face." Shawn stood up to give me a warm hug.

"Hey Canada." I smirked, hugging him back, "God, Canada is freezing."

"Get used to it, this is warm for me." He laughed.

After talked for a while, we both ordered a coffee and donut.

"This is the best." I smiled as I took a sip of my steaming coffee.

"Only the best for you." Shawn smiled.

"Mom! I'm home!" my voice echoed through the empty, or so I thought, house.

I checked in the kitchen, family room, and study for her but no sign.

I walked up to her room, but something caught my eye. The bathroom door was closed.

"Mom?" I softly knocked on the wood.

I heard soft whimpers, so I opened the door cautiously. Sitting there in a pile of prescription pills, was my mom. I ran to her side, grabbing her hand.

By this point, I had steamy tears rolling down my cheeks.

"Mom, are you there? Can you hear me?" I took the now empty pill bottle out of her hand and reached in my pocket to grab my phone.

"911, what is your emergency?" an operator spoke on the other line.

"My mom has overdosed on pills." I cried, barely getting words out.

"Stay calm sweetie, someone will be there shortly." The operator said.

I gave her all the information she needed before ending the call.

"Hang in there mom." I whispered in her ear.
