"You know I just realized I never asked your name that night..." Chris ran his hand through his hair, his bright blue eyes scanning over me as I fidgeted with the small pile of napkins on the cafe table "Natalie right? Sebastian said he talked to you the other night..."
"I brought your jacket..." I leaned down, reaching into my bag and pulling his jacket out, trying to hide the fact that my hands were shaking as I passed it to him. His own hands hesitated as he grabbed the edge of it, like he knew how nervous I was and I looked down at the ground, avoiding his gaze as best I could.
"Natalie... you really don't need to be nervous, we're just two people sitting down and having a cup of coffee yeah? I mean I know I'm me... but..."
"Yeah... you're... you. Chris Evans, Captain America... I'm trying to not let it scare the hell out of me. And I still need to apologize for the way I acted that night, I wasn't really myself, I was pissed off at my friend for leaving me there, I didn't feel all that great and... I'm rambling now... I'm really sorry." I put my hands around my now cold cup of coffee, trying to stop them from shaking so terribly, and also attempting to find something to concentrate on so I didn't start crying in front of Chris. He wasn't saying anything, only sighing as he put his right hand on top of the small table, his body language screaming that he wanted to touch me "Chris I don't... I don't know if I can do this..." He slowly stood up from his seat, motioning for me to take his hand, and I hesitated for a moment before I took it, letting him pull me up from my seat. His arms wrapped around my back and I couldn't stop myself from clinging to him.
"Seriously... I mean I know it's easier said than done but you don't have to be nervous around me. I'm a normal guy..." Chris mumbled into my ear as his chin came to rest on my shoulder, his arms still tightly wrapped around me as he seemed to rock back and forth, as if he knew it would stop me from crying "Hey. Why don't we get some to-go cups and go for a walk, go somewhere a little more private?"

"Tell me more about yourself..." Chris stopped, sitting down on a bench in the middle of the park we'd been walking through and motioning for me to sit down next to him."I'm not that interesting..." My hands rested in my lap, fidgeting with the ends of my long sleeves "Sorry... I'm trying." I shrugged and looked over at him, almost immediately looking away when my eyes locked with his "I can tell you that I do act like this around everyone... it's a problem I need to work on..."
"I have anxiety problems too Nat, there's nothing wrong with you or me... we're all a little broken and that's ok." He sighed, his hands waving around as he continued talking, my nerves finally settling enough that my hands stopped shaking "I'm sorry... I was supposed to be letting you talk." Chris let out a quiet laugh before standing up from the bench and stretching his arms above his head, even letting out a yawn before holding his hand out towards me "Can I walk you home?" I nodded at him as I took his hand, wondering where all that time had gone, if we'd really been out here talking that long...

"I'm sorry the place is a mess I'm in the middle of getting settled in..." I muttered under my breath, my hands trembling slightly as I unlocked the door to my apartment and waved Chris inside. He'd asked if he could use my bathroom before heading back to where he was staying with Sebastian and I hadn't exactly wanted to say no "Bathroom is just down that hallway, second door on the left." He smiled at me before disappearing down the dark hallway, and I waited until I heard the lock click to let out a loud sigh "Jesus what was I thinking..." I mumbled to myself as I moved towards the kitchen to get myself a drink of water, and maybe even to splash some in my face to make sure this was really happening..."I had a good time tonight." I nearly jumped out of my skin when Chris entered the kitchen, and when I flipped around to look at him, I couldn't stop myself from staring into his soft blue eyes, the way they seemed to sparkle as he rested his right hand inside the pocket of his dark blue jeans "I hope you did too?" He shuffled his feet around on the rug in front of the fridge, his eyes breaking contact with mine for just a brief moment before he spoke again.
