Adam
"Adam," somebody puts their hand on my shoulder,"let's go back. We'll get news of her there soon."

I look back to see Tommy and look back at a all cut up looking Amaris. I shrugged his hand of my shoulder,"I have something to confess, Thomas."

I turn around and lean back on the wall as he lifts an eyebrow at me,"This doesn't sound good by the way you said my first name. What's wrong?"

I sigh as I feel tears forming in my eyes,"I cheated, Thomas. I cheated on Amaris. It's been like this since September. And it doesn't end. You don't want to know the rest."

"Then why did you propose to her?" He didn't sound happy. He's taken Amaris as another sister since the day they met, which was the morning of my thirty-second birthday.

"To show that she's mine. My one and only. And I'm starting to realize it was an arrogant move on my part."

"Yeah," he scoffed,"a very arrogant move."

"But I love her, Thomas. I want to marry her, I want to have kids with her."

"Adam," he sighs,"this isn't my problem, it's your problem."

I was ready to bawl out crying. I knew he was right, even with the words he hasn't spoken yet, I still know he was going to be right. It's my problem that is too late to solve...

I already broke promises to her. And this is why I've landed in the hospital so many times after my memory loss. Thinking the world would be a better place without me. Hoping her life, would be better off without me in it.

I put three years of friendship and months of being a couple down the drain. Everything that has been happening in her life is my fault.

I broke her trust. I broke her promises. I broke everything we had, but she doesn't see it. And now I destroyed both of our lives, destroying our lives like as if a wrecking ball just came through a building.

"Adam, Tommy." A voice said, sounding very fragile.

He turns around while I turn my head towards Amaris' sister,"It's about Amaris."

Her eyes were red, bloodshot red,"she doesn't have much longer unless somebody gives her some blood."

I swallow the lump in my throat,"what's her blood type?"

"Same as yours, Adam."

"How do you know my blood type?"

"My crazy Glambert sister."

I chuckle as she turns on her heel and walks away from Tommy and I. I glance up at Tommy, who's eyes looked like they were on fire. Yup, he's really mad now. And now he has to understand what I'm about to do.

"You going to do it?"

"Obviously," I sigh,"her life is now in my hands. She's going to die if I don't do it."

"Then," Tommy sighs,"you're going to confess to her?"

"I can't keep it much longer. I don't want to destroy the beautiful relationship we have, but I can't let it go on like this and lead to a divorce."

"Adam," he puts his hand on my shoulder,"you know I love you like a brother. You know I'm not happy with you. At all. But you know I'm always here for you."

I pull him in for a hug,"thanks, man."
