Even in the darkest pit of the world, there could be light. The darkness in his short-lived second life was finally over. He was free from the bonds that kept in tied to the Earth and the master that would make sure his friends would not live to see the next day. He regretted leaving the very people that he cared about but it was "for the best". The blinds that rested over his eyes was lifted and a shadow in the newly found light was his main focus. He was unsure of if he was to be frightened or comforted by the form.

He pushed himself back bringing his knees to his chest hiding his head. This was not the first time that he was confronted by the silhouette of a woman. Himchan worried about the last time he made contact with an unknown person because of the recent events that have passed. The woman laughed a little stretching her arm out to the boy. "Himchan, it's too early for you to be here," She said pulling the boy from the ground. Himchan looked at the person his eyes adjusted to see her short brown, almost black, hair and bright blue eyes. Her color was fake but her smile was genuine and her words were true.

"What do you mean it's too soon for me to be here?" Himchan looked around the room. Its walls were white with no visible door. "If you were supposed to be here you would be able to see the door." She pointed to where the door was supposed to be. "What door?" Himchan squinted seeing if the wall would focus on his vision anymore. "This just proves my point. You have to go back." The woman began to walk off but was stopped by Himchan's hand. "Wait, go back to what? Where am I?"

"You are in the halfway. It's a place between your home and the afterlife you believe in." She explained biting her lip thinking of something to say. "I can't tell you much more. The more you know the less likely I would be allowed to send you home." Himchan nodded taking in this new information.

The rumble of the wall behind him caused Himchan to turn around. "The gateway is open. You may leave when you are ready." The woman motioned to the door. "I have one question... well it's more of a request." Himchan looked the woman in the eyes. "What is it?" She tilted her head.

"When I go back I'd like for my friends to not remember what happened at the lodge," He sighed looking to the ground, "I don't want them to remember what I made them go through." The woman clicked her pen and gave Himchan a reassuring smile. "What are their names so I make sure we don't leave one out?" Himchan smiled. He was happy that she was willing to do this for him. "Bang Yongguk, Jung Daehyun, Yoo Youngjae, Moon Jongup, and Choi Junhong." After she wrote the names down she sat her pen down. "It will be done," She said placing her hand on Himchan's cheek, "Now let's get you home."

The boy's woke up to their daily routines the same as any day. Nothing seemed or felt different except for a pit feeling in their stomachs.

"Come on guys. We have class today." Yongguk loudly said as he opened up the doors to the sleeping boys' rooms. Daehyun was the first out of his room followed by Junhong who was rubbing his eyes. "It's too early," Jongup said walking around wrapped in his blanket causing the others to laugh a little.

"Good morning!" Youngjae yelled as he bounced into the kitchen fully ready for the day. "Morning." The others mumbled as they ate, drank, or was Jongup who was asleep again resting his head on the table.

"Hey, where's Himchan?" Yongguk asked counting the people in the room. "Oh, he's still getting ready," Younjae said motioning to the stairs before going to get a glass of some juice. "Good morning sleepyhead," Youngjae whispered in Jongup's ear as he ran his hand through the boy's hair. "Good morning, Youngjae," he grumbled back go the older, "I'm going to go get ready." He said before getting up and walking out of the room.

"Someone seems to have woken up on the wrong side of the bed," Himchan said after watching Jongup walk up the stairs with a frown on his face. "Yeah, he didn't sleep well last night. He was tossing and turning all through the night." Yongguk answered as he pulled a plate from the shelf to hand to Himchan.

Himchan moved to take the plate from Yongguk but was stopped by a pair of arms wrapping around him. "Welcome back, Himchan. I've missed you." He rested his hand on the arms that were wrapped around him. The grip around him loosened as he started to turn around. Himchan wrapped his arms around the younger boy. "I've missed you too, Jongup. It's good to be back."

-Well, that's it. I hope this was a good run.
-One question: Did you enjoy this any at all?
