.:.Marley.:.
just another day of school. boring. as always. the final bell rang and i rushed out of class. i was ready to leave. i put my earbuds and walked for the main door. i played my modern baseball playlist. they were good. as i was walking, someone bumped into me. i stumbled a little.
"sorry." i said and kept walking.
no one paid attention. especially in the hallways.
"hey marley!" a familiar voice yelled.
ugh. josh. don't get me wrong. i love josh but i wasn't in the mood today.
"marley!" josh yelled once more.
i turned around and put on a fake smile.
"nice outfit." he said as he caught up.
i looked down and my clothes. i was wearing the neighborhood merch and was wearing ripped jeans. i looked at my beat up doc martens.
"thanks for the sarcasm."
"well don't dress emo."
"whatever."
i walked off not waiting for josh.
"hey! wait!" he yelled, "i have a new neighbor and i think it would be sick if we met him."
"sick."
"so want to go?"
"yeah."
i agreed. i need to be cheered up and josh does a good job doing that. we walked out of the school and walked over to josh's house.
as we were walking up to his porch a boy our age walked out of the house next door. must be the new neighbor.
"hey tyler!" josh yelled grabbing the boy's attention.
he smiled and waved.
"hey put your stuff in the house and then go over there with me." josh said.
i nodded my head and did what i was told. we walked over to the boy, who was sitting on the grass with a notebook and pen.
"hey dude." josh said making the boy quickly shut his notebook.
"hey." tyler said looking up.
i smiled at the boy. he seemed innocent and pure.
"so tyler this is marley. marley tyler, tyler marley."
i waved.
"hi." he said.
"well marley and i just wanted to get to know you." josh said.
"alright."
"okay." josh said and sat down across from tyler. i joined. we formed a small triangle.
"so tyler, what grade are you in?" josh asked.
"i'm a junior in high school"
