Generation glee

Danny Shuester

It was finally summer.
Danny could feel the heat of the sun on his arm as he sat in the back seat of his dad's Land Rover His dad was in the driving seat, his dad and mum were holding each other's hand.

They were on their way to pick up Alice, Danny's girlfriend of 4 weeks. He was excited but also a little nervous. Today was the first day Alice would meet all of his friends and family. Everyone was heading over to Blaine and Kurt's house to meet the new member of the Hummel-Anderson family Louis.

Danny looked out the back window and saw Burt and Carole following closely behind them, they had offered to take Max, Morrison and Penelope so that they didn't have to take two cars. Carole and Burt then disappeared down a street to the right, they were heading straight to Blaine and Kurt's house

"You'd best text Alice and tell her we're close" his mum said to him as she turned in her seat to face him. "Em, Danny are you okay? You look a little white hunny"

"I'm fine" Danny said quickly. "Just a little nervous, that's all" he gave an awkward laugh and tried to gulp down the lump that was in his throat. His mum gave him a reassuring smile.

They pulled up outside Alice's house, she was sitting on her door step in a pretty summer dress, her blonde hair pinned up. She was pretty but her face was covered in makeup, it always was. When she noticed the car she put her phone in her bag and ran to the land rover opening the door.

"Hi, I'm Alice" she said as she hopped into the back seat opposite Danny. She smiled at him.

"Nice to meet you Alice" Will said, as he pulled away from her house and made a U-turn, making his way back down the road to Blaine and Kurt's house.

"I love your dress" Emma said as she once again turned in her seat to face Alice and her son.

"Oh, thank you. My mum made me wear it. I didn't want to because it's from new look. Its not even designer" Alice said as she pulled at the dress making a disgusted face.

Emma turned back around and looked at Will, who just stared wide eyed back. 

They were driving along the road, about 5 blocks from Blaine and Kurt's.

"Hey" Danny said as he pointed out the window. "There's Finn"

Will spotted him and beeped the horn. Finn got a fright and dropped the bag he was holding spilling plastic cups and straws everywhere. Will pulled up beside him. "Sorry" he chuckled.

"Oh, hi" Finn said as he picked up the things off the ground and put them back in the bag. He looked tired, there were visible black bags under his eyes. 

"Jump in" Will said.

Danny opened his door and slide over to the middle seat beside Alice, making room for Finn who put the bag on his lap and buckled his seat belt.

"How does it feel not being the little brother anymore?" Danny asked Finn.

"It's okay I suppose" Finn shook his head. "He cries a lot"

Will and Emma laughed from the front seat.

Alice cleared her throat and nudged Danny's side.

"Oh yeah! Finn this is Alice, my girlfriend" Danny smiled at him. "Alice, this is Finn. It's his house we're going to".

Finn reached out his hand and smiled at Alice. Alice looked at his hand, then his face, then his hand again before smiling a fake smile and rejecting Finn's handshake. He screwed his face up and mumbled under his breath 'bitch'.

They pulled up outside Finn's house. Alice looked at it amazed. "This is your house?" She questioned Finn who nodded. "It's huge".

They walked to the front door and Finn opened it, letting them all in. Blaine and Kurt were standing in the kitchen. Blaine was drinking champagne and Kurt was as sober as a judge.

Danny took Alice's hand and smiled at her. "That's Blaine Anderson" she said, her mouth open with shock. Danny nodded. "He's my favourite actor of all time. He just finished his run on broadway yesterday!"

"Yeah" Danny laughed. "Then he came home".

"Home?" Alice questioned. As she saw Blaine ruffle Finn's hair.

Danny laughed. "wait, you did know we were coming to Blaine Andersons house right?" He paused, reading her expression, which clearly indicated that she did not know and now she was fan girling.

"Hey, Danny!" Alex Evans shouted from the living room. "In here".

Danny squeezed Alice's hand which made her snap out of her trance, he then led her to the living room.

When Danny entered the room he saw all his friends were there. He looked around. In his head he was making a list. Yep there's Oli with barbs, and Ella and Bobbi. Lukus, Victoria. Oh, Alex brought Elijah, how sweet. Penelope was here talking to Finn. Everyone was her. Everyone except...
