I know you'll be wondering
Why the coffee isn't ready
Why the toaster has no bread
I wonder if you will even notice
That you woke this morning
Alone in bed
I know you thought we were getting along
But, I was already gone
I know you'll be wondering
Why there's no clean clothes
Its still piled on the closet floor
I wonder if you will even notice
That the lock is open
On the front door
I know you thought we were getting along
But, I was already gone
I know you said you were trying
But the passion was already dying
No morning kisses
No good day wishes
No holding hands
No listening to our favourite band
No cuddles under the sheets
No warming each other's feet
No making love anymore
Night time staring at a closed door
You didn't see anything wrong
But, I was already gone
Maybe one day you will realize
When you don't even get a call
I was never really there
At all
