(Warning: Story contains mention of abuse and self-harm)

UPDATE (Oct. 24, 2020): I know there are some parts that are confusing, so sorry about that. I wrote this about 2 or 3 years ago lol. I'm revising the chapters, only to make grammatical changes, and add some more details since I'm too lazy to rewrite any huge mistakes or rewrite the whole book.

If there is anyone who needs someone to talk to about anything at all, my messages are open. I know some scenes in this story can be sensitive topics. Don't be afraid to message me if you need someone to speak to or if you need advice. I'm no professional, but if I can do anything to help, then I will try my best. Thank you.

"What is this?!" your father yelled. He shoved what seemed like your math test, in your face. "Why did you get a B on your math test, huh? Huh?!" Your face was covered in fear. Your father raised his hand and slapped the right side of your face. He grabbed your arm tightly, causing a bruise to form. He dragged you to the living room where your mother was. She was standing with her arms crossed, looking at you with fury in her eyes. "I-I'm sorry. I-I'll try harder next time," you stuttered. "Hell yeah, you will," your mother responded.

"Y/N!" your father snapped you out of your flashed back. He banged on the dining table. "Y-yes?" You replied. "God, why don't you listen?!" your father yelled. "Honey, we can worry about this later," your mother said.

You are ten years old. You've been living with your abusive parents your entire life. Before they started abusing you, your godparents were alive and, sadly, they were the only people who were nice to you. Your parents have been hard on you since you were five years old. At first, they would only yell at you when you made a mistake, but the verbal abuse progressed into physical abuse. Soon enough, you showed almost no emotion except fear around them.

"You're going to Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry," your father said. You're a pure-blood and because of that, your parents treated you like crap and pushed you. Pure-bloods are usually the most respected, at least more than muggles and half-bloods. So, why were they so mean to you? That's because they wanted you to be the best of the best. Not only did they want you to be powerful in magic, but they wanted you to rule.

"When?" you asked.

"Tonight."

"Tonight?!"

"Is there a problem with that?" your father asked. He stared at you with menacing eyes, as if daring you to continue to question him. You felt anxiety swirl around in your stomach the longer you maintained eye-contact with him.

"N-no."

You finished your food and took your plate to the kitchen. Suddenly, you tripped over your own foot and broke the plate. "What the hell?!" your father yelled from the other room. Your mother grabbed you and cast a spell. "Crucio!" You screamed in pain.

This was their way of discipline. It was like they tried to kill you. Although it was a crime to commit these kinds of spells, somehow, they found a way to hide their acts from the wizardly world.

A few minutes later, the spell wore off, leaving you with an emotionless face. You slumped and walked up to your room and started to packed your belongings.

"Y/n! Let's go!"

Finally

You walked out of the house and into the car. Silent ride.

You arrived at the Hogwarts Express. "Now, platform 9 3/4." "9 3/4?" you said confused. "Just run through that wall," your mother said. "Um," "DO IT" your father yelled. You backed away from a wall and ran through it. You closed your eyes, expecting to fly backward. Slowly, you opened them and saw platform 9 3/4. "What the..." Your parents soon followed. "Okay, board the train," Your mother said.
