A/N: Sorry if there are any stupid mistakes!

I came home to witness the nicest thing I ever received. My Fuku made dinner for me and was waiting for my return. It was so sweet, but she really should be in bed. She was half asleep on the dinner table, her head in her arms.

I love my daughter dearly. It was a shame that her mother had... to pass away. I start to faintly sob, living through my life without her to comfort me. I loved her so much. She was the light in my darkness. She was the one I wanted to grow old and turn into dust with.

I once again felt pain in my head. It was subtle. I can't help but think about another person who helped me through that phase of my life. I sigh and decide not to look further into it. I instead turned my focus to my daughter. She has school tomorrow. I should take her to bed.

My hand reached out to Fuku until it found her shoulder. Shaking it lightly, I tried to wake her. The 10 year old stirred in her sleep, but didn't open her eyes. The final option was to carry her up to her bed. Tucking her in and giving her forehead a kiss, I left her room.

I took off my work attire along with my glasses and replaced it with sleep wear. My eyes drooped in tiredness and my being ached. It will be ok, it will pass with some sleep. I buried myself in the covers and soon fell asleep.

(Dream Grillby speaks in italics)

You are listening to me, right Grillby?

Of course I am! You have my full attention.

I couldn't see the person I was talking to, yet I did recognize the setting of my dream. It was a late night at the bar. Only a dark silhouette was made evident, and I stood behind him, facing my dream self. He... I seemed, off.

Are you sure? You've been out of it for a while.

I see myself blush and start to play with the buttons of my work uniform. It was a habit of mine, put into action when I'm nervous. But why, I wasn't sure.

Keep going, I'm listening.

As I was saying, when I came back from the lab after leaving it for 15 minutes, she decided to amend the machine while I was gone. I specifically warned her of the dangers it could cause-

And she disobeyed your orders anyways?

Yes! Everything was pitch black and the machine in smithereens!

I saw myself chuckle.

Well Alphys does let curiosity get the best of her sometimes.

Wait Alphys knew this guy?

Stop laughing! This is serious!

Make me!

Fine.

The man held up his bony hand with a hole in his palm. A purplish aura appeared around me. I was terrified for my dream self...who knows what the man was capable of? But I, for some reason, seemed ok with it.

Let me down Gaster!

Gaste-

You know I would never hurt you. Grillby. You need to loosen up. Relax for a bit. And the Doctor seems to have the right remedy! I hope you don't mind sitting on my lap~

I looked at myself and never seen my flame so blue in its life.

There, there, I got you.

And I landed. I could see me facing the man and avoid his gaze. I then hugged the man and my dream self faced me. He faintly smiled in the man's arms. The man, Gaster, tensed for a while but then hugged back.

What would I ever do without you in my life, Grillby? You mean so much to me...

Well, you would have no one to talk to and always be so bottled up without ranting about your workdays-

Grillby.

Sorry! I then beamed him my brightest smile. You're the bestest friend I ever had... I love you Gaster.

Confused, I start to take in my surroundings. Who was Gaster? How could I forget him if he meant so much? When did-

I was still in my dream but without the two monsters present with me. I remember Alphys being mentioned. Yes, she could help me identify the man! Before I could ponder any longer, my dream started to fade. I started to run.

There was nothing but black surrounding me, my arms being the only light to guide me forward. As I wandered, I didn't find anything. But then, in the corner of my eye, a glint of purple reflects off my glasses. I turn to face it's point of origin.

In its place was a hand, floating gently in the air. As I looked more closely, I found it to be like no other skeleton's.

There was a hole in it. Right in the middle. In the place of where a palm should be.

Then after its brief visit, it left. And with it, so did I.
