Chapter 7

Dejanee

It is my first day back in school aftet a week. I went into first period and everyone was looking at me. I want to run and hide and not come back. Just when I was about to turn someone grabbed me and held me there.

Then whisper in my ear "everything is going to be ok". I turned and it was Taylor. I don't know why but I hugged him tight in front of everyone what was shocking is that he hugged me back and then walked me to my seat.

Then sat beside me. I still wanted to cry but he made it better don't tell him that though. Through out the day people was saying we sorry for your loss and gave me hugs I wanted to break down then but Marie was there for my all day along with Taylor here and there.

I wish school was over but I have one more class to get through. Great, I sat there staring at the wall until it was over. Then it was Taylor was waiting for me at the door.

Me:" What do you want "

Taylor:" Your father want me to make sure you good"

Me:" Well I am bye"

I tried to walk away but he grabbed me and pulled me in a hug. I don't know why but I felt safe in them, and I can tell him anything. Which is weird I usually push people away. He let me go and walked me to my car. Even opened the door for me and waited for me to drive off.

Taylor

After waiting for Dejanee' to leave I got in the car and went to the house. That's when Mr. Carter called me in to the office. I went in and stand at his desk.

Me:" Yes Mr. Carter"

Mr. Carter:" I need you to get me a package "

Me:" Oh Okay "

Mr. Carter:" You are going with Max and here is the money, you  are going to give for that package."

I nodded then got up following Max to a black Toyota and got in. On our way there Max looked at me.

Me:" Yes what do you want. "

Max:" Why you here"

Me:" Because I can "

Max:" Nigga we don't need you"

Me:" Well I'm here now get used  to it and do what the fuck the boss say, sit back and shut your ass up."

After that he did not say anything just went to what we had to do. After we got the package and drop the money off. Then went back to the house. There we gave Mr. Carther the package. I started walking to the room but Dejanee' was sleeping on the couch. I sighed and took her to her room. Then walked to mine and went to sleep. She was on my mind all night and I don't know why.
