"I'm not doing it." Blaire argued, shaking her head as she opened her email to find the message from Derek she was waiting for. She quickly clicked on the message and saw that there were seven attachments, all pictures of the pages about Skinwalkers. She downloaded them all.
"Blaire come on!" Stiles whined behind her. Blaire swirled around in her computer chair to face Stiles and Scott as they stood by her doorway and she crossed her arms over her chest with a smirk.
"I take it you're not pissed at me anymore?" She taunted, recalling her brother's behavior the last couple of days. Stiles huffed.
"Actually no considering Scott found you at Derek Hale's house after school!" Stiles exclaimed, his left eye twitching at the mention of Derek. Apparently after Blaire had left school their Dad and the police were enforcing a curfew for anyone under eighteen for now until they find out who murdered the girl that was found in the woods. Scott made sure to tell her all about it on the walk home, and in response she told him everything she had learned about what she had discovered about her new being: a Skinwalker.
"I can't believe you two really went to the morgue while I was in the shower." Blaire said with a scoff. "Why do you think Derek's a murderer again?"
"We don't think Derek's a murderer, he is a murderer." Stiles argued, making Blaire roll her eyes.
"You don't know anything, Stiles." Blaire said as her laptop pinged, telling her that the pictures were done downloading. Blaire spun back around in her chair and opened them up, pulling them up individually with excitement.
"What is that?" Scott spoke up as he came to stand behind her.
"The pages about Skinwalkers that Derek showed me earlier." Blaire mumbled as she scrolled through the first one.
"I don't like this.." Stiles muttered.
"Don't like what?" Scott spoke up, distracted from reading over Blaire's shoulder.
"I don't like Derek, I don't like him 'helping' my sister, and I - I just don't like him!" Blaire groaned as Stiles continued. "Look Blaire, I know you think he's helping you or whatever, but he has other motives. He killed that girl in the woods! Scott and I have proof!" Blaire spun around to look at Stiles again, forcing Scott to take a step back.
"Oh really? Why, because Scott smelled blood out at the Hale house? Because the scent he smelt was the same as the partial of the girl from the woods left in the morgue?" She glared up at her brother and sat back in her chair. "Yea, I could smell it when I was out there too." Stiles's jaw dropped.
"Are you - are you serious?" He screeched. "You knew the guy buried some girls body on his property and you followed him inside anyway?"
"Did you forget I can read minds Stiles?" She asked with a quirked brow. "I listened to his thoughts, I asked him directly and listened to his heartbeat. He told me he didn't do it and he was telling the truth. The only reason you guys are so adamant about this is because Scott wants to play tomorrow, no offence Scottie." Blaire added. Scott nodded and Stiles sighed with defeat, running a hand over his buzzed hair.
"Blaire.." Stiles started, his gaze softening as he looked at her. "Do you really think he's innocent?" Blaire nodded.
"I know he is." Blaire asserted.
"Then help us, let us prove it. If he's innocent then he'll be let off and you can brag about how you're always right or whatever." Blaire chuckled, her expression slowly faltering. Scott and her brother had been trying to convince her to go and distract Derek while they attempted to dig up the body buried outside of his house, but Blaire didn't want to. She didn't want any part of it, especially since Derek was trying to help her and she didn't want to do anything that would make him not trust her.
