"Blaire!" Stiles yelled from his bedroom across the hall. "Blaire!" The girl sighed.
"Yes Stiles?" She called back, hoping he would leave her alone after he'd been acknowledged. Blaire was running on almost no sleep because for the last two days she had been researching what it was that was going on with her, and so far she had come up with nothing. But she was desperate for answers, especially once she saw that her bite wound from the wolf the other night had completely disappeared from her arm.
"Come here! Quick!" He yelled. Blaire grunted in annoyance and threw her bedroom door open just in time to see Scott standing outside of her room. He smiled.
"I think we're being summoned." He said sarcastically and Blaire rolled her eyes as she followed him to her brother's room.
"Let me guess, he called you?" Scott nodded just as Blaire pushed open her brothers door and crossed her arms over her chest. "What do you want?" She asked Stiles, making him jolt with fear in his computer chair as he turned to look at them.
"Guys, I've been up all night reading: books, websites, all this information." Blaire and Scott glanced around the room and noticed papers scattered all over his bed and the floor and Blaire's eyebrows raised in surprise.
"When's the last time you left your room?" She asked, looking down at her feet and pushing a piece of paper away from her with her toes.
"Yea and how much Adderall have you had today?" Scott followed up as he watched him. Stiles sat down and looked away as if he had to think about it.
"A lot?" Blaire rolled her eyes. "Doesn't matter okay, just listen." Scott tossed his backpack onto the bed and sat down.
"Oh is this about the body?" He asked.
"No, they're still questioning people.. Even Derek Hale." Just the mention of his name made her shudder. If he was the supposed "murderer", why would he have taken her home? Why wouldn't he have just killed her then and there?
"Oh, the guy in the woods that we saw the other day.." Scott recalled.
"Yea but that's not it okay!" Stiles took a breath. "Remember the joke from the other day?" Blaire quirked a brow.
"What joke?" She asked. Scott sighed.
"The one where Stiles said I was a werewolf." Blaire nodded with a smirk.
"If you are, does that mean I am?" She asked with a wink. Scott rolled his eyes as they turned their attention back to Stiles.
"Actually, I'm not really sure what you are just yet but.. It's not a joke anymore, Scott." Blaire and Scott stared at Stiles in amusement and realized he was serious. "The wolf, the bite in the woods.. I started doing all this reading.. I mean, do you even know why a wolf howls?" Stiles asked as he stood up.
"Should we?" Scott asked him.
"It's a signal, okay? When a wolf's alone, it howls to signal its location to the rest of the pack. So if you heard a wolf howling that means others could have been nearby, maybe even a whole pack of them."
"A whole pack of wolves?" Scott asked him in surprise. Stiles sighed.
"No.. Werewolves." He mumbled.
"Oh good grief.." Blaire muttered, uncrossing her arms and heading towards the door. But Stiles quickly jumped over in front of her and stopped her.
"Wait -"
"Are you seriously wasting my time with this?" Scott asked him, clearly becoming irritated as he picked up his backpack. "You know I'm picking up Allison in an hour." Stiles moved over to stand in front of Scott and Blaire watched the scene unfold before her with curiosity.
