"Emma! Wake up!" Ethan shouted. Why does he have to be so loud?
"I don't want to." I mumbled.
"Its 6:39, you're going to be late for school!"
"Fine!" I turned on to my back, not realizing that I was on the edge. I landed on the floor and just later there. I don't feel like doing anything, but I have basketball today, so there is something to look forward to I guess. I put on yoga pants and a basketball t-shirt. I've noticed lately that I have a lot of basketball stuff. It's kind of rediculas.
Bing
Unknown number: Hey Emma, this is Noah. I was wondering if you would shoot some hoops after practice tonight?
Emma: Sure!
I saved his number in my phone. I wonder how he got my number in the first place?
Noah: Do you want to sit at my table during lunch?
Emma: Only if Cody can sit with me too.
Noah: That's fine.
"Emma let's go!" Ethan shouted from downstairs. I grab my school and basketball stuff. Once we got close to the school, I texted Cody to meet me out front. I really needed to make some girl friends. Cody is play and everything, but there is always in need of a girl talk that is not my mom. A friend that understands and didn't turn a joke into an explanation. I get out of the car and said goodbye to Ethan. I saw Cody standing by the front door, and walked toward him. As I got closer, I saw a girl that I wasn't familiar with, but I did just move here.
"Hi Cody!"
"Hey Emma, this is my cousin Avery."
"I didn't know you had any family that went to school with you!" I joked. "Hi I'm Emma!"
"I'm Avery," She replied, "Cody has two older brothers, but there both in college. He's the baby if of the family."
"Oh shut up! I'm just the youngest, not a baby!" Cody defended himself. It was really funny to see him blush over a simple fact, but we all have our share of embarrassment. Avery and I exchanged phone numbers and headed our separate ways. When lunch came I sat with Noah  and his friends. Most of the table ignored me, but some of his friends shared a friendly conversation with me. One of his friends, Aaron, plays basketball too. He was sick yesterday, but he heard how I kicked everyone's butts! Noah is still embarrassed about it, but not as much as the rest of the team. After lunch, the rest of the day went by fast. Once that last bell rang, I headed toward the locker room. I changed quickly and went to the gym and started shooting hoops. The rest of the team was out and ready to go whithin 20 minutes. We ran five man weave and three man weave. After a water break, we did some dribbling drills and shooting drills. Some of the boys didn't snap their wrists when the went to shoot, so they didn't make some of there baskets. After another water break, we did ten suicides, then coach split us up into teams and scrimmaged a little bit. After a longing two hours, practice was finally over with. Noah and I started shooting hoops when my brother showed up. He watch us for a while before asking if we wanted to play lighting. My brother doesn't play basketball, so it was easy to get him out. But Noah and I, we were neck and neck. We both won two games before we called it night. I grabbed my stuff and meet Ethan at the car. We made little talk about our day on the way home. There was mac-n-cheese waiting on the stove when we got home, and a note telling us that out our parents already went to bed. I got a bowl of mac-n-cheese and went up to my room to do math. After I was done, I took a shower and went to bed.
