Elena of Avalor: Mateo's Family Secret

Facing Shuriki

Elena and Mateo were soon face to face with Shuriki.

"Hello, Elena. I'm back. Missed me?" Shuriki said in a sly voice.

"No, I didn't. And I'm going to stop you, again." Elena said in her most confident voice.

"What power do you have against me? I have my wand and all you have is a weak, wizard-in-training." 

Mateo looked at her angrily.

"He's not weak. And you are going to have to go against both of us."

"You have no magic, Elena. So, I have a fair chance at winning."

"No, you don't. I have picked up a little magic since you've been gone, and now it's two against one."

"This is going to be a piece of cake. Vadismia!"

They both dodged the spell.

"Blaze!" Elena said and the spell missed Shuriki.

"Missed. What's wrong, Elena? You look a little weak."

"I'm not. I.."

"Don't you even dare hurt our friends." Naomi said from behind.

Elena and Mateo looked behind them and saw both Naomi and Gabe.

"What are you two doing here? I thought we agreed that you would..." Mateo was cut off by Gabe.

"Yeah, we're not letting you face an evil sorceress alone."

"Now it's four against one." Naomi said.

"You four are all weak." Shuriki said and casted a spell that would trap them in a magic bubble, "I'm going to deal with you all later. But, right now I need a plan to get the kingdom back. And I know just the little wizard to help me."

"Leave my sister alone. She'll never help a witch like you." Mateo said.

"She would if she sees that her dear brother is in trouble." Shuriki laughed and they soon disappeared in a cloud of smoke. When they reappeared they found themselves in a temple. Shuriki locked them up and soon left herself in peace to think of a plan.

"I can't believe it. This is your little sister's fault, Mateo. She..." Naomi complained.

"Naomi, stop blaming my sister. She didn't know what she was getting herself into. If you never saw Shuriki and never even heard of her, you would have probably helped her as well." Mateo argued.

"You two stop fighting. It's not helping us." Elena said.

"Sorry." Mateo said.

"Yeah. Sorry." Naomi said.

"All we have to do is come up with a plan and maybe, just maybe we can get out of here."

"Whatever you say, Elena." Mateo said.

They soon sat in silence trying to think of a plan. In Mateo's workshop Lucina was crying over what she has done...
