Choosing Sides

Lucina and Renato soon arrived at the temple.

"So, this is where my mom has been all these years?" Renato asked examining the place.

"Yup. So...Where do you think she might be in a temple like this?" Lucina​ asked.

Before Renato could answer they heard some familiar voices coming from the hall.

"It must be them. So, what's the plan?" Renato asked.

"Ooh. Come here." Lucina said and whispered the plan in his ear.

"Mama! Mama?" Renato called out to Shuriki.

"Mama?" Gabe questioned.

"Why does that voice sound so familiar?" Mateo asked.

"Mama, are you here?" Renato said coming out of the shadows.

"Renato?!" The four teens said.

A cloud of green smoke appeared in front of Renato and​ revealed Shuriki.

"Uh... Renato, you might want to run away." Elena said.

"Hi, Mama." Renato said to Shuriki.

"Mama?!" The four teens said in shock.

"Oh, Renato. My son. I'm so glad to see you." Shuriki said and gave her son a hug.

"Wait, so your mom is Shuriki?" Elena said in disbelief.

"Yes. She is. Mama, I want you to meet a friend of mine. Lucina, come on out." Renato motioned for Lucina to come out of her hiding place.

"Well, well, well. Look what we have here." Shuriki grinned.

"Shuriki, I'm ready to choose which side I want to be on."

"Good. So, Lucina de Alva. Who's side are you on? Elena's or mine?"

"Lucina, don't do it. You don't want to be like her." Mateo glared at Shuriki.

"How about you be quiet." Shuriki said shutting Mateo's mouth with a spell.

"I choose...Shuriki's side." Lucina said.

"What?" Naomi said.

"No." Elena said with sadness in her voice.

"Good. Then, let's start with coming up with a plan." Shuriki said.

"Gladly."

When the three left the spell on Mateo wore off.

"I need to be alone." Mateo said trying to hold back his tears and went to the corner of the prison.
