Tonight I'm going with Zendaya to her school for a charity art exhibition. The event runs into Mani's work schedule so she can't come.

"Ok I'm ready let's goooo" Zendaya says, emerging from the back

She grabs her drawing and stands by me.
"Will you tell me why you chose to draw me and you" Mani groans
"You'll find out afterwards" Zen smirks
"I guess" Mani pouts
"Don't be a baby" I smile
"Why...are y'all still here?" She smiles
"Bye Normani" I chuckle
Me and Zendaya soon arrive at her school and we head to the auditorium. A lady walks up to us and hugs her.
"Hi Ms. Jordan" She smiles
"Hey sweetie, you got everything prepared?" She asks
She nods her head and the teacher turns to me with a smile.
"Hi I'm Zendaya's Art teacher, Ms. Jordan" She says while shaking my hand
"I'm Lauren her...sister in law" I say
I look over to Zen and she nods her head.
"At this point you basically are" She whispers
"See you guys soon" Ms. Jordan laughs
Me and Zendaya walk to a table with the different charities layed out and I pick up one.
"So which one you gonna donate to?" I ask
"A Place Called Home, I'm gonna donate like a hundred" She says
"Donate 2 thousand, I'll give you the rest" I say
"Seriously?" She asks
"Yea, why not?" I say
"All those presenting please stand to the side of the stage" Ms. Jordan announces into the mic
"All the charity sponsors and teachers are sitting in the first two rows so go to the third one" Zen says
"Alright, don't be nervous you'll do just fine" I smile
She takes a deep breath and nods her head, I give her a high five and go sit down. 5 presentations later, they call her up and I pull my phone out, recording for Mani.
"My drawing shows 2 sisters and city lights behind them, the meaning behind it is how they only have each other and they're alone and lost in this big city, many ups and downs to get through, loss of hope, not knowing what's the right turn, and feeling suffocated, the older sister sacrifices a lot, she takes every opportunity thrown at her, indulges multiple sleepless nights, and does whatever she thinks would be worth it in the end, just to make sure that the younger sister will always be fine cause her only focus is protecting the younger sister and hoping her childhood is a great one, and in the end it was all worth it and life from there on out felt like neverland, cause they had each other...I relate to this a lot which is one of the reasons why I'm choosing to donate 2 thousand dollars, along with this drawing to A Place Called Home" She says
She wipes one of her tears that fell and looks to me as claps surround the room. She walks off the stage and I open my arms up, she walks right into them.
"You gonna be ok or you feel like you're gonna ugly cry?" I ask
She starts laughing and pulls back.
"I think I'll be fine" I say
"You did amazing! Mani's gonna love it" I say
"Yea I know, I made another copy of the drawing since I'm giving this one away" She says
"Oh she's gonna ugly cry" I say
"You have noooo idea" She laughs
About an hour later everything is done and we head back to the apartment.
"Lauren I know Normani was closed off with you and she's opening up to you more each day but you make her really happy and she cares about you a lot, she has this gleam in her eyes that I haven't seen since our parents were still alive, I know she's been extremely stressing herself out since the beginning of all this and you always find ways to shake her out of it, it's more to it but you're bringing her back to how she used to have more positive views on everything and I really wanna thank you" She says
"Zen that's so sweet, that means a lot coming from you and I'm glad I could bring that side out of her" I say
"Jauregui you're falling hard and so is she" She laughs
