Annabeth's POV

"Hera said that Percy was in Central Park, but we've been looked for an hour and nothing!!" Piper exclaimed.
We are divided into small teams.
Piper with me.
Jason with Frank.
Gwendolyn with Rachel.
Tahlia with Clarisse.
Travis with Corner.
And Nico with Reyna.

"It's okay Piper, we will find-" I started but saw a familar brown haired boy "-him"
"Oh my gods, is that Peter?" Piper asked.
I nodded, quickly speed walking behind him, Piper walking behind me.
'Seen Percy as Peter near eastern entrance' I mind messaged the others.
We all have a mind message link so if we needed information to be brought around, we get it.
Perks of being immortal.
Peter froze.
"You're immortal?" He echoed.
Dam, he must have read my mind.

I stopped walking.
"I know you too are there, Annabeth and Piper, I can also sense you're immortal and are lieutenant of your parents..." he continued.
He turned around to reveal his brown eyes without glasses on.
He was looking right at me.
"Why did you chose immortality? And work for you mother?" Percy asked, making 'mother' sound like Venom coming out of his mouth.
"So I could find you!!" I exclaimed "you just disappeared without-"
"Without?!?! I told that goddess to let you I'm alive" Percy snarled, catching me by surprise.
I haven't heard him snarl like that since he was fading...
"Who was that?" Piper asked carefully, trying not to anger Percy.
"Athena" he snarled, making me gasp.
"My mother?" I exclaimed.
"She sent me on a quest which was a trick in the end..." he said and then flinched "...she made me do unforgivable things..."
I froze.
"What did my mother made you do?" I asked.
He completely ignored me and asked "Do you guys know why Arachne asked for war?"
He paused.
"Because Athena turned her into a spider again for no reason and the Olympians accusing her of something she didn't do..." he said, making me gasp "...there is going to be a war because of Athena's pride"
"I-" Piper started but the cloaked person from before appeared from behind Percy and held a knife at his throat.
"Percy!!" Jason yelled with the others following.
We all surrounded the cloaked girl with our weapons high.
The girl laughed.
"Is this meant to intimidate me?' She asked, chuckling.
Percy was fighting a smile.
Does he know this girl?
"If you come closer, I could kill him with one flick of my blade...or I could take him to Arachne and let her decide" the cloaked girl said.
"You wouldn't do that" Percy said, slightly smirking "It won't do you any good anyway"
"And why?" The girl snarled, putting her knife against is neck to reveal...golden blood?!!?!?
HE'S IMMORTAL!!!!
"That" Percy said, making us gasp "As well as me revealing who you are"
The cloaked girl's body language changed.
"How do you-"
"It's quiet easy, I never forget anyone close to me" Percy said, she chuckled lightly.
I froze.
Does he mean girlfriend?
Before the girl could answer, a familiar spider goddess came to view from behind them (and Leo and Reyna)
"Get off of your girlfriend Perseus" Arachne said, making me gasp and them jump apart.
"How about not suggesting that?" The cloaked girl snarled coldly.
"I have-" he looked at me sadly then looked at Arachne "-had a girlfriend"
Wait, he thinks I've moved on from him...
Piper looked at me and mouthed 'He thinks you have moved on since you're immortal'
'But how is he immortal?' I mouthed back.
Arachne smirked when her many eyes landed on me and then looked at Percy who was looking at Arachne.
"What happened between you?" She asked like she already knew the answer, then she fake gasped "Oh right, your mother decided it would be a great idea to torture the hero"
I widened my eyes and looked at Percy who widen his eyes to Arachne.
"How-"
"Honey, I've helped you with your spider powers, I know you still have then I can understand spider emotions" Arachne said.
I narrowed my eyes.
Wouldn't that mean that Percy would join-
'No way; he could join ARACHNE!' Reyna said in my head.
Percy did something I lest expect; he lifted up his sleeve on his right hand and showed Arachne his wrist; right under his snake tattoo he still has.
She gasped.
"No..." she cried "Not you...it can't be you"
Percy smiled sadly.

'What's going on?' Jason asked through mind message.
'No idea; Leo and Reyna, can you see anything' I asked them.
'Percy has some kind of strong mist, only allowing Arachne to see' Reyna replied through the link.
'His Hera powers' I said through the link, annoyed.

I can see Percy slightly flinch but then smiled sadly.
"I'm okay...well, I guess I am for the moment" Percy said and then gave her his adorable lopsided grin "It couldn't be worst than me fading"
"HA HA, that scared the shit out of me" Arachne said.
Percy flinched but smiled.
"You scared the Hades out my me when I was with Bianca" Percy said "A head's up would be nice"

'He's met up with her before?' Hazel asked though the link.
'Guys, I think we're losing him' Reyna said.
I can see Travis and Corner on the other side of the circle nodding.

Percy chuckled.
"You do realise I can read your thoughts and hack your mind link...right?" He said.
Hades...
"Hades indeed Annabeth" he said softly "Hades indeed"
"What's wrong Percy? Why have you been gone for so long?" Frank asked.
Percy turned to Frank.
"What answer do you want?" Percy asked "The simple or detailed?"
"Simple" Piper said "Please"
He looked up and sighed.
"One person, the one goddess that hates me enough make me..." he shivers "...and threaten if I came back she would make everyone betray me again"
"Who?" I asked, even though I have an idea of who it is.
"Athena" he said with so much hate.
What did my mother do to make Percy hate her?
"Join me Percy and you can get your revenge on her" Arachne said.
"Don't Percy!" Rachel said.
"Something I learnt while I was...away was, 'if you're in war with the world because you're never going to sell your soul; don't because no matter what you can't be brought or sold, you're not a prize to claim. When everything you love is leaving, you hold on to what you believe in. If they put up a fight for your belief, fight back, break their hold. Because you can't or won't be controlled. "Percy" I exclaimed "Maybe we could work something out; I'm sure my mum didn't-"
"Mean to?" Percy said and then laughed "I'm pretty sure she meant it when she turned me immortal and then tortured me in the worst way possible"
All of us gasped; including Arachne and the cloaked girl.
"Why would she do such a thing to a hero?" The cloaked girl snarled.
"Maybe I'm not..." Percy whispered, making the girl walked up to him and slap him.
"You are!! Don't tell the lies told by Athena to you!!!" The cloaked girl said "Her pride has gone to her head; you're a brave, amazing loyal hero Percy!"
"Am I rea-"
I slapped him.
"What has my mother done to you?" I whispered.
He looked at me and I noticed a broken look in his eyes.
I hugged him, making him stiff up.
"Let go of him my daughter"

I glared at my mother as she appeared.
Arachne and the cloaked girl growled.
"Why did you do this to him mother?!!? He's my soulmate!!!" I yelled,holding onto the frozen Percy.
"He is not your soulmate!!!" My mot- Athena yelled, scaring me "A daughter of mine shall not fall for...that sea scum!!!"
"Woah, woah" Percy said,letting go of me and looking at Athena, an unfamiliar aura appearing around him "You can't talk to your own daughter like that!"
Athena narrowed her eyes.
"Why would you save your breath for the daughter of your fathers worst enemy?" Athena asked, making me roll my eyes.
"Because we are not our parents, and we both love each other!" Percy said angrily "You can't control fate Athena, I thought you know that!"
"I AM NOT-"
Percy flicked his hand, making Athena silent and making me gasp; how?
Percy smirked.
"What? I can't hear anything" he said, making the cloaked girl chuckle "Wondering why I can I do that?"
Percy walked up to Athena and smiled kindly.
"It was that little trip you made me do, it made me think about a couple of things...well, a lot of things. And I thought 'maybe I could improve my Poseidon powers since I haven't used it in a while'" Percy said, "Like this"
And then out of no where, percy got water into his hand and solidified it into a 3-foot ice sword.
I gasped.
"Ice isn't it?" Percy asked, making me groan and Leo, Travis and Corner laugh.
"And that's meant to intimidate me?" Athena growled, making Percy laugh.
Not a kind laugh, but a slightly cold, mad laugh.
He tilted his head and smirked.
"This is; I'm not helping the Olympians in the war" Percy said and disappeared.
"Mist travelled" Hazel whispered as I looked at my mother angrily.

"HOW DARE YOU!!!!" I yelled "THE ONE TIME I SEE MY BOYFRIEND, YOU MADE HIM GO AGAINST HIS OWN FAMILY AND THAT WILL MAKE HIM A MONSTER SO I HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY!!! I DISOWN YOU AS MY MOTHER, I HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY WITH THE OLYMPIANS DIVIDED!!!"

And i walked off to hear her say "It's for the best"
