Chapter 18

Never trust a mirror,
For a mirror always lies,
It makes you think that all you're worth,
Can be seen from the outside.
Never trust a mirror,
It only shows you what's skin deep,
You cant see how your eyelids flutter,
When you're drifting off to sleep,
It doesn't show you what the world sees,
When you're only being you,
Or ho your eyes just light up,
When you're loving what you do.
It doesn't capture you smiling,
Where no-one else can see,
And your reflection cannot ell you, everyone you mean to me.
Never trust a mirror,
For it only shows your skin,
And if you think that it dictates your worth,
It's time you looked within.

Third POV
No one moved as Annabeth collapsed to the ground in pain as the needle got out of her.
Percy's smirk slowly faded.
"Hope that worked" He said.
"What did you do to my daughter?" Athena asked.
"Just look" Percy said, motioning to Annabeth, who has stopped groaning and breathing heavily "Please work" he whispered to himself.
As he said that, Annabeth's hair changed from her dark black to honey blonde and her eyes changed from blood red to grey.
"It worked!" Percy said, happy, making everyone confused.
"WHAT IS GOING ON?" Zeus yelled.
Annabeth groaned and stood up with shaky legs.
"What?" She said "What happened?"
"That is what we want to know" Athena said, death glaring Percy.
"Apollo" Percy said, making Apollo widen his eyes.
"That's not even possible!" Apollo exclaimed "How did you do it?"
"What did he do?" Annabeth asked, looking at Percy.
Percy smirked, his red eyes gleaming like jewels in the sunlight.
"I cured you"

Percy's POV
"WHAT?" Annabeth exclaimed "No venom?"
"Can't you hear the voice in your he-ohf!" I started only to get tackled by Annabeth into a hug.
"I'm so sorry for what I said" she whispered.
"You shouldn't be saying sorry to me" I said, motioning to Gwen.
Annabeth widen her eyes and walked to Gwen and started to talk to her.

Apollo is still looking at me wide eyed.
"You want to know how?" I asked "With a little help from Hecate and Arachne, we created a cure which would only help someone with a pride like steel"
"That means we can cure you!" Annabeth said.
I flinched.
"I tried" I said coldly "It didn't work"
Everyone looked at me with sadness.
I rolled my eyes; they don't need to feel sorry for me, not at all.
I looked at where Annabeth nearly stabbed me and noticed a small hole in my Star labs sweater.
"Seriously?" I exclaimed "That was my favourite sweater!"
"Fan boy over here" Leo said loudly, making me chuckle.
"Do you have a favourite character?" I asked him.
"Firestorm!" He said, lighting himself on fire with Alex on him; lets just say he's lucky shes fireproof.
"What in the Hades are you doing?" She squealed, jumping off of him.
Everyone but me laughed at them.
I only smiled sadly.
I'm still a danger to everyone...
Not while the venom is in me.
And after I threatened Zeus.
I quickly, with everyone distracted, vapour travelled to one place which I know someone who can help me; Peter Parker.

Annabeth's POV
I'm glad Gwen forgave me.
Even though I was under the venom, I knew they only saw each other like siblings.
"Where did Percy go?" Gwen asked.
I turned around and saw him no where to be seen.
"Great, he's gone again" I muttered.
"He is not" a lady she, appearing in the throne room where Percy was just standing.
"Hecate" Piper whispered.

"Why are you here Hecate?" Zeus asked.
"I have come to tell you that Percy has been lying all this time" she said, making everyone gasp.
"What are you talking about?" I asked, hoping its not about the cure to the venom.
"Percy had said there is peace in this world since venom and goblin have gone but thats not the case since the king Symbiote is in his system as well as an unknown danger coming that only he knows about" Hecate said calmly.
"He did nearly slip out that the world was in danger because of him" Jason said "I just thought it was about the venom"
"Has Percy told both of you that he, well Peter created the cure for the side effects, thats why Annabeth looks completely normal?" Hecate said, making all of us look at the paler Jason and Leo.
"What is she talking about?" Piper asked.
"Do you know where it is?" Leo asked, ignoring Alex's and Piper's complaints.
Hecate nodded.
"It just happens to be where Percy is right now; with Percy in Central Park" Hecate said.
"Let's go" I said as Hera flashed the demigods out of throne room.

"Percy?" I asked, as after an hour of looking seeing a black hair boy with a brown haired one.
The black haired one turned to me to reveal Percy with dark and bold red eyes, nothing like his ruby eyes before.
"Annabeth?" He asked "What's wrong?"
"You just disappeared and...what are you doing?" I asked as I saw something in Peter's hand.
"Nothing" Peter said quickly and gave whatever he had in his hand and put it in a bag.
"Peter" I said, crossing my arms.
He flinched.
"Annabeth, don't" Percy said, "This has nothing to do with you"
"But I'm concern for you Percy" I said "With the venom still in your system"
He shrugged.
"Hang on, Hecate sent you, didn't she?" Percy asked, making me nod.
He grabbed two needles out of his bag; both with the golden liquid in it.
"These are for Leo and Jason; they are marked with their names because they are unique only to them" Percy said, making me grab them without stabbing me "It would be bad if they're mixed-"
A massive bang was heard and a groan from Peter was heard.
"I bet you its Rhino" Peter said "Well, I have to go; bye"
And he webbed off, leaving me and Percy together alone.
"Continue" I said.
"Oh yeah well, if they get mixed up, it will be really bad, it could reactivate the 0.1% of venom left in their system" he said, making me gasp.
"Got it" I said "Now what are you going to do? Run off again?"
Percy sighed.
"Annie" he whispered "I do need to go but I'll be back quick; once I've defeated the threat-"
"Who is it?" I asked.
"The person doesn't even know it" Percy said "I know it because I knew something was off with what happened to them"
"Do I know them?" I asked.
"Very well" he said.
He quickly kissed me on the check, sparks that I haven't felt in a while coming back.
I looked at his eyes that it flickered his beautiful sea-green before it turned back to the dark red.
"I might as well tell you about my eyes" he said "The darker they get, the more under the venom I go. Somehow from red they turn purple. Thats why I have to leave; my life as well as everyone else's is on the line and only me alone can do it"
And without me answering back, he vapour travels on the spot, leaving me annoyed.
