Only In The Forest (A Continuation of the Forest Fic)

It's been a while, I recommend rereading the last chapter. And a  heads-up, lots of things are gonna be happening while other things are happening so if you see "Meanwhile" or ____ it probably is an indicator that whatever is coming, is happening during whatever came before unless you can tell it's obviously not.

MEANWHILE 

Tyler and Jenna are sitting elbow to elbow on the same bench in front of the piano. The music teacher only lets Tyler play it because he is the only one who actually uses the piano for music. 

"Play me something," Jenna asks, her eyes look deep into Tyler's. Tyler is frozen looking back at her. He can see his reflection in her blue eyes. Jenna looks down at the keys waiting for Tyler to start. 

Tyler has never played in front of anyone besides Josh. He doesn't know what to play. The first thing that comes to mind in the Mario theme song, that always makes Josh and him laugh. After Tyler finished his short performance, and he laughed and waited to hear Josh's laugh but only got a small giggle from Jenna.  It made him instantly stop. 

"No seriously, play me what you were playing the other day," She puts a hand on Tyler's arm. Tyler looks at her hand. 

"Umm."

"Please," She closes all the extra space they had between them.

"I-I don't want to" Tyler moves the slightest bit away from her, making her take her hand off his forearm. 

"Why not? You played it for Josh why can't you play it for me?"

Tyler's face gets got, "I-I" He can't tell her that he doesn't feel comfortable doing that, "Um well, I guess I could play it for you." Tyler sits up tall regretting his last statement and starts to play the song that brought back all the memories, good and bad. 

As Tyler sings and plays, he looks over at Jenna. She was about the same height how they were sitting, and her blonde hair laying perfect on her shoulders. She is so sweet, and right now he is happy he is sharing this song with her.

"Silent in the trees standing cowardly," Tyler sings still staring at the side of Jenna's head. 

"I can feel your breath," 

Jenna closes the gap that was once separating them. He instantly feels her body heat.

" I can feel my death, I want to know, " Tyler chokes up, and takes his hands of the keys to cover his mouth.  He feels the pressure from the tears trying to get out and sit on his face. 

"Are you okay?" Jenna asks. She places a hand on Tyler's back and he jumps a little unsure of what his reaction should be. Not many people comfort him, but he kinda likes it. It makes him feel safe like someone actually loves him.

"Um," Tyler starts to smile as a warm tear drips down his face onto his hand. He doesn't understand why he likes her hand oh his back. 

She moves a hand to wipe the tear sliding down his cheekbone. The smile on Tyler's face grows. He takes an uneven breath in, in an attempt to calm himself down. 

"I'm sorry," Tyler says, Jenna cups the side of Tyler's face.

"There is nothing for you to be sorry about, you have a beautiful voice, and it just shows how much you are in tune with your music."

Tyler leans his head into Jenna's hand and remembers his sweet blue-haired guy friend who has done things like this for him too many times to count. He remembers the way he feels around Josh and for some reason, it startles him that it's the same way he is feeling now with Jenna. Tyler's smile levels out and his whole face freezes.
