Chapter 16

Esme POV

When I took Lilly home I saw that she was stern I don't know why but it makes me feel happy. She's a 70% werewolf and 30% vampire. She's a hybrid and luckily I'm on her side cause with out me she'd be dead along with 3500 of her pack members.

"Lilly I'm the luna of my pack and my mate is the alpa of the pack. And if you'd like to stay at our pack your more than welcome, but if you'd like to go back to your pack I completely understand." "Yeah thanks but I won't stay long because my pack needs me." "Okay. I'd like you to meet the main members of our pack, Jack and Metias." "Okay I'll meet them tomorrw, I'm beat," then I show her to her room, then she sleeps.

Then as I walk to my room I feel strong arms wrap around my waist and pull me into his chest. "Esme are you sure we can trust her?" "I'm positive. I know what I'm doing," then I turn around and let him hold me in his chest. "It's been 3 days since my dad, Trey, Brent, and Aaron died. Trey, Brent, and Aaron's funeral will be tomorrow," then he holds me by my waist and his head stays in the crook of my neck.

He starts to sob a little, then I rub his back to calm him down. I pull him toward the door and walk outside with him, and I lay him down. I lay next to him and have my head and hand on his chest, and his arm around my stomach, and look at the stars for a while.

"Esme do you love me?" I think about what he said and reply, "Yes Jack, I love you." "You trust me right? 'Where are these questions coming from?' "Yes." "Let's not get married yet I'm not ready cause-," I interrupt him. "You don't need to tell me why. I agree, there probably be more wars ahead. Let's not just yet." "Esme I don't trust Lilly. We don't know what could happen to us." "Give her time, maybe then you can trust her." "Maybe. Lets go to bed. It's midnight," then he carries me inside and lays me on the bed and I go to sleep without the comfort of him next to me.

Jack POV

"Metias." "What's up Jack?" "I need to go to St. John's and have this list filled out and complete and have it ready by 11:30am. You keep an eye on the pack and fill out some paperwork until I get back. Tell the pack they need to be ready by 10:00. Got it? Oh and keep an eye on Lilly I don't trust her yet." "Okay will do." "Thanks Metias," then I leave.

Metias POV

I walk up to Lilly's room and sit outside my door and-, "What are you doing Metias?" "I 'have' to keep an eye on you, orders," then she walks toward me and pushes me against the wall. "What are you doing?" "Being with my-," then Esme walks out and sees me and Lilly. She just takes a glimpse of us give us a small smile and heads down to Jacks office and does some paperwork for me. "What were you saying," then she smirks at me again and kisses me on my lips softly, I then smell of the beach on a warm sunny day. Lilly's my mate.
