Chapter 21

Jack POV

I take my Ford F250 pickup and drive Lilly to my pack house. We don't say anything on the way back, then when I walk inside the front door I see my parents drowning in their own pool of blood. I smell the air and I try to pick up a scent then I run towards it then I stop at a room and see a note on the bed and it says

Jack,

How dare you!!! You mated Esme without my permission, I'm her legal guardian, I'm her werewolf protecter. I have been taking care of Esme for 3 years and she just out of the blue runs off to find her mate. Apparently she found you and has been with you for about 4 years and you don't tell her to go see me? DOUCHE BAG that's what you are. I don't want you telling her that I'm here just give her these drawings and she'll know. I've been with her all of my life and you think you can just swoop in and take Esme away from me?!?! NO! I won't let you so you can have any girl but Esme you can be the packs man-whore for all I care but I will get Esme back and you will respect that.

I know who this is then I look at the pictures and see there all of me. Then when I get to the last one it's of her and Reece together at a school dance she went to and it was amazing. I never knew my mate was an artist?! I then turn around and look under the bed and find a notebook filled with drawings of Lilly, Trey, Metias, Aaron, Brent, all of our pack members and finally one of me and her having our first date sitting on the ground on a blanket then we look at each other with one emotion in our eyes and it's only love.

My baby was an artist she was so talented then I put all of those drawings back and under the mattress and take the letter Reece sent with the five drawings and go to the hospital.

When I get upstairs to see myself standing outside Esme's door then I walk in to see her sleeping then I mask my scent so she won't wake up since I'm here, then I lift her arms and lay the letter and drawings on her then I put her arms back how they were then I leave.

Esme POV

When I wake up I see Jack and Lilly are gone, then I feel papers in my hands then I lift them up so I can read the letter.

Jack,

Then I look at the drawings I did then I unhook all of the iv's, get dressed and leave. I bring the papers with me then I go to the pack house. When I walk in the front door I see Jacks parents in their own pool of blood then I run up to our room and then I take the lighter I had for my cigarettes then I light all of the old drawings and the letter till there's nothing left of them.
