Oki now back to the story~!

--------------------------------------------------------------

Tsumiki and Io both went back to the classroom to eat their lunch. She came to see the smirking faces of Sakaki and Mayoi...yet again. It took everything she had (including a very timid yet feeble Hime) to restrain herself from kicking their asses out of the classroom.

It had been three days. Three. Whole. Days. Three days since Io had given her that scarf and she still hadn't given it back. She cursed her inner coward. There were several chances and opportunities where she could, COULD have returned it, but no. She felt too afraid. She let out a frustrated sigh, the paper bag still hidden under the desk with that god-forsaken scarf.

The final bell rang. It was a Friday, and Tsumiki knew, that if she failed to return the scarf to him today, she would keep it for another two days. She would definitely come off as creepy..selfish and rude... And she definitely didn't want Io to think of her that way...

Grabbing her bag from her desk, she made her way to the shoe lockers. Grabbing her shoes, she also took the paperbag with the scarf inside. She clutched it tightly, feeling nervous as heck.. It was as if she was about to deliver an important letter to the Principal or something, when in reality she was just delivering a dumb old scarf to another classmate. But it wasn't any dumb old scarf. It was Io's, for pete sake. If only he hadn't been the kind gentleman he was, and had given her that thing, she wouldn't have to worry so much..

"Good afternoon, Tsumiki-chan." Hime's voice snapped her out of her thoughts.

"Afternoon."she replied.

"Is there anything wrong..?"she asked, a concerned look etched on her face.

"No, it's nothing."

"Okay..Well, I'll see you next week, Tsumiki-chan." Hime said as she headed home.

Tsumiki sighed once more, when suddenly felt a warm hand placed a-top of her head. Her face heated up instantly, for she only knew one person who did so.

Io.

"I-I-Io!" she stammered, her legs seemingly frozen to the floor. Again.

He gave her a small warm smile.

"Good afternoon, Tsumiki."

Tsumiki merely nodded in reply.

"Why aren't you heading home yet?" he asked, cocking his head to one side slightly.

"Oh, uhm...I-I....uhm..."she stammered, unable to find an excuse. She somehow didn't want to tell him about the scarf yet.

"Do you...need someone to walk you home?"

"Eh..?" Did she hear that right?

"Well...I could walk you home...if that's okay with you, Tsumiki." Io mumbled, feeling a bit proud of himself for mustering up the courage to ask something he wanted to for quite a while. It was an unexplainable feeling. For some reason, Io was saddened whenever Tsumiki had to leave. To say that he liked her company was a bit of an understatement. He now had a tendency to notice more of her. Her emotions, her movements, her reactions.. well that would be considered creepy, he thought. But, he couldn't deny that she was cuter than ever. Especially now, from the way that her cheeks turned a red brighter than cherry red tomatoes.

Was Tsumiki dreaming right now? Her crush, her long time crush, had just asked if he could walk her home? A surge of infinite fantasies, scenarios, and possibilities flooded her mind, all of which managed to make her blush harder than ever before. She couldn't turn down this offer, She couldn't. This was a chance too rare; too good, to ever miss out on. Besides, it was a perfect opportunity to give him back her scarf.

"O...okay." she replied with all the courage her little body could muster. She internally praised herself for such a brave gesture.

Io blushed at her reply. That was very unexpected. What he had just asked was a very bold and brave thing to say to your...person of current interest but..he wasn't expecting a yes. At all. In fact...it made him happy. Io hid his blush by turning his head away from her view.

"A-alright," he mumbled as he collected himself, clearing his voice to break the awkwardness. "Shall we then?" he asked with a small smile which made Tsumiki's heart leap 1000 feet into the stratosphere.

"M-mhm."
