I sat sprawled out on the couch looking up at my TV while eating a tub of ice cream that sat by my side. I was currently watching Vampire Diaries. To be honest I wasn't really into the show itself, but I wouldn't miss a moment to look at the beautiful face of Stefan Salvatore.

A loud knock emerged from my door and I threw my head back in frustration. Ugh. I hate visitors. I quickly paused the show, And sat my tub of ice cream on the coffee table.

Whoever was at the door was going to see me at my worst. I had a half-dried charcoal face mask covering my face, with a hair cap on, and some oversized sweat pants.

I swung open the door and was instantly pulled into a suffocating hug. I let out a small squeak before I caught onto the heavy scent of blueberry perfume. I only know one person who wears 'Blueberry' anything and that person is Kali.

She pulled away and stared at me with the silliest grin I've ever seen her make. Usually when she made faces like this she's either 1. extremely excited about something or 2. She's spotted an extremely hot guy.

I'm going to go with one.

"So, I talked to my brother Castello. You remember Castello right?" Kali said this all too quickly. I was surprised myself that I could understand what she was actually saying.

I nodded my head. I've only met Castello a couple of times. He never really comes around and thats fine by me. The guy is kinda scary. He's always standing around and observing. Doesn't really talk much. Just...observes. Every time he comes around it's like he's looking for something that's not even there! The guys a creep.

Kali broke into my thoughts and continued talking at lightning speed.

"So I heard my brother talking about this get together dance thing that's happening tonight and I talked him into letting us go!"

When she was all finished and caught her breath a small smile crept on to my face. Finally, I can get out of this box I call my apartment. Sure it was nice to have my own apartment, but it gets lonely. Yes, I have Kali but she has a life too and I don't want to be a pest.

Before I could even approve of this, she grabbed my hand and pulled me towards my bedroom. I wasn't surprised she knew the way around my little apartment. She came here often.

"Alright, go wash your face off while I get your outfit."

"Hold on a second Kali, you haven't even told me about the party. Or who's going to be there, and what it's for. And I'm pretty sure your brother doesn't know I'm coming, because he hates me, and would never let me come with you."

It's kind of obvious that her brother hates me. I mean the man has hardly ever said a word to me, and Kali and I have been friends since we were 10. He acts like I'm going to kidnap her and leave the country. Kali says he's just protective, but I don't think that's just it.

"Oh, come on Aisha! He doesn't hate you, he's just shy. Plus it's just a gathering of a lot of dad's business partners. They'll be there to have a good time, drink, and make business deals."

We call each other's parents mom and dad, we might as well since we're so close.

"And what else? Because I know you Kali, and I know that you wouldn't want to sit and dance with a bunch of old men." i said while narrowing my eyes at her and crossing my arms over my chest.
