Mikes POV

*You don't realize there gone until there gone*

My body is in complete shock from what my mom said. I step back a little a bump into my dads Lay-Z-Boy. My mind is trying to grasp what just happened. Eleven's not ok. Holly's missing. Everyone seems to be dazed. Suddenly the front door open and Nancy runs to mom's side.

"She was here 20 minutes ago. We had got home and I set her down to watch TV. I went to my room and set my bags down and when I came back she was gone." My mom said sobbing through the whole thing. I looked up the stairs and ran to my room. "Michael, what are you doing" Nancy yells from downstairs. I grab my Realistic and a bag and run downstairs. "I'll be back, I'm going to find Holly" I said as I ran to the door. "Michael, you are not leavin-" I interrupt my mom mid-sentence. "I'm going to find Holly" I say firmly as I grabbed my bike and rode to Mirkwood.

If my sister was in the upside down, she wouldn't be there alone. At least I could try and find her before it's too late.

Elevens POV

I walked down Mirkwood in the middle of the street. Something was telling me to be here. Someone was talking to me, in my mind. Every time I heard the voice, I looked around hoping to find someone. Suddenly a voice starts yelling "look out El". I look up and see a truck driving straight towards me. Everything slows down as the truck approaches me. I stare at the headlights since that would be the last thing I'd ever see. I feel a sharp pain in my side and hip and close my eyes. My mind goes blank.

"El please wake up" I hear in my mind. It was faint, but I could still hear. I open my eyes and see a girl. A little girl with long blond hair and blue overalls. It was Holly. "What happened to you Holly" I say holding onto her. "Upside down" she says and my eyes expand at the words. How could this happen. I held onto Holly hugging her tightly and I start to notice she's getting lighter. I look at her as she starts to fade away into air. I stare into the darkness and hear faint yelling.

"El wake up" is all they say. Feeling starts to come back into my body as light starts flooding my eyes. I jolt up with my eyes open and I look around. "Holly, where are you" I say quietly. I feel a hand on my shoulder and jump. I see someone in front of me. It was Mike. "There was a truck and I got hit and then it was Holly" I say sweating, staring into Mike's eyes "She said upside down and I could hear her in my mind". Mikes eye's started to water at the words up "Upside down".

Mikes POV

Holly was in the upside down. At least that monster wasn't there, but she was alone. Alone and hungry and cold. "Why am I here" El said "Did the truck stop?". I wasn't quite sure how to explain what I did. I just ran. "I was riding down Mirkwood and I saw you standing there. The truck came so I jumped off my bike and pushed you out of the way. We hit the tree and you didn't wake up." I said obviously still in shock.

El stared at her shoes whispering "You could have killed yourself Mike" she stared into my eyes. "I couldn't lose you again" I said staring into her brown eyes. "Thank you, Mike" she said before our lips touched. She held onto my neck as I put my arms around her waist. We stayed that way for a while and I enjoyed it. I wish we could be like this forever. We slowly pulled away from each other slightly blushing. I stood up and grabbed El's hand as we walked to my bike across the street. We rode to my house since it was too late to take El home. The lights were out and everything was quiet. "Where were you" I turned to see my mom look at me, then El with one of her eyebrows raised.
