Malls are fun right? Sure- the children running around screaming about how they want that toy. Fun! Spending all of our money on stupid stuff like designer handbags wasn't exactly how I wanted to spend my Friday; but sh don't tell Victoria i said that. She would probably have a cow. In my opinion malls are only good for one thing, food. I want to know who was thinking one day that they want to put a whole bunch of food in one place. Even then, while I'm peacefully trying to eat my burger and chips I hear small children arguing over the plastic teeter totter in the play area.
"Is your food good?" Victoria sipped her smoothie and hummed happily to the Justin Bieber song that was playing over the speakers in the food court.
"Its fine." I shook my head and laughed a little, her phone buzzed on the table and she picked it up. I went back to eating until she bounced up excitedly, don't lie, you would be curious too.
"Oh my gosh Anth's friend is throwing a party!" She gushed, I wouldnt have been surprised if she didn't bubble over in excitement.
"Okay, who's Anth? And who's the friend?" I raised my eyebrow.
"Only one of my best friends from school, and I honestly have no idea who's party it is, we were just invited." Her lips curved into a smile. "I would have let you meet him sooner but I guess we never got around to it." She shrugged.
"Too busy going to party's huh?" I chucked at my own joke, she just rolled her eyes.
"Anyway, we are going." She gave a smug smile setting her phone down.
"Uh no?" I shook my head.
"Uh yes?" Victoria shot back quickly.
"Come on, you know I don't do parties." I grumbled and slid down in my chair.
"And you know I don't like arguing but look what were doing." She crossed her arms.
"Even if I wanted to, I would have nothing to wear." I stared at her, she knew she caught me.
"We are at the mall, duh." She scrunched her nose and giggled.
"I don't have a choice do I?" I surveyed my best friend. She shook her head causing me to let out a sigh.~
"So that party!" Victoria pushed open the door of our flat and put her bags on the couch. I kicked off my shoes and plopped onto the recliner.
"Its a party, what else is there to say?" I looked at her and held my hand out in confusion.
"Well I don't know, this is just exciting. We never go to stuff like this together." She sat down and patted her lap happily. "And also you got a brand new supa cute outfit! Maybe you'll meet a boy." She wiggled her eyebrows towards me.
"Yeah, funny. No boys for me. Too busy for that." I leaned back and closed my eyes.~
"Wake up wake up wake up!" I woke up to Victoria running into the living room squealing. I got poked until I made a noise to signal I was alive.
"Jesus... What time is it?" I mumbled into a pillow.
"Its seven, I woke you up a little earlier in case you wanted to shower, I know it takes you a while to dry your hair." She explained, I sat up and ran a hand through my messy brown hair.
"Yeah, I'll take a shower." I said tiredly. She laughed and walked upstairs. As she left I went to my bedroom in search of the outfit we bought earlier, stumbling into the laundry room to find a towel before going to the bathroom and jumping in the shower.
"Alex! Are you doing your makeup?" Victoria shouted from her bedroom as I walked past, only in my towel.
"Maybe a little, you?" I peaked my head in the door way.
"Of course, and I think you should. It would look cute with your outfit." She turned and gave me a grin. I shook my head and laughed, walking into my room and changing. After curling my hair I started on my make up, just some simple foundation, mascara, eyeliner and maybe a little contour. I didn't bother with lipstick because I knew it would be off by the end of the night.
"We have to leave by nine thirty if we want to make it in time, already got an uber." Victoria stopped by my room. Doing my hair spent more time than ever, but soon I was done. I searched my room for my black wedges and went downstairs to see Victoria standing with her new handbag.
"Ready?" She asked, then adding "you look so pretty!"
"You too." I shook my head and laughed then going to grab my 'purse' which was actually just a bag that Victoria made me call a purse.
"Uber is here!" She called from the other room, I followed her out the door and into the uber that was parked in front of our flat. The entire way there she wouldn't stop talking about the party, which was basically the entire day as well. It was no big deal, as long as there is food.
I stood staring at the house when we got there. Faint music filled my ears and the uber sped off behind us.
"Come on slow poke!" Victoria turned around laughing, I hadn't realized she was already half way up the walk way.
"I'm coming!" I followed, walking into the house. My eyes scanned the large crowd in front of us.
"There he is!" She grabbed my wrist and pulled me along with her. I could barely hear what she was saying over the loud bassy music blaring from the speakers.
"Hey you!" Some guy turned around and hugged her.
"Hey this is my roommate and also my lovely best friend Alex!" She moved aside to greet me. "And Alex this is Anth!"
"Nice to meet you." We shook hands. My eyes shifted to the guy that was standing next to him. He was wearing a black Nike air jumper and some black skinny jeans ripped at the knees.
"Oh, this is Conor." Anth gestured to the male next to him, who gave us a silly smile. After we returned nice to meet you's, anth and Victoria began to talk about something that happened five years ago, leaving Conor and I in silence.
"You look really comfortable." I laughed softly and pushed a curl behind my ear.
"Oh trust me, I am." He let out a hearty chuckle and leaned his head back.
"Victoria's good, yeah?" He asked, his head nodding in the direction of my friend.
"Just the bestest. I'm kind of forced to love her shes my roommate." I scrunched my nose and stifled a laugh.
"Oh, nice. Anth wouldn't stop talking about her on the way here." He looked around for a moment.
"Is that right?" I gave a smirk and looked over at my best friend.
"They seem close. Hey, I'm going to get a drink want anything?" He asked quickly.
"Uh, no, but thank you for asking." I gave a smile.
"Of course." He winked before turning to say something to Anth, probably telling him the same thing he told me. My eyes travelled around the room, observing a few different people. Some were standing around talking, others dancing. Once my eyes came back, I saw that Conor, anth, and Victoria were gone- leaving me alone. Great. I made my way into what I think was the living room where some tables were. I sat on a couch by the wall and played with the strings on my bag, humming to the song playing.A.N (honestly you don't really need to read these. Its just explaining when I'll update.)
HELLO MY BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE. Just as I promised, you're lovely fan fiction. I would have added more to this chapter but I haven't converted it to my phone yet. Its on my computer and I don't have it with me right now. This first chapter is kinda slow but I promise the next one is going to be poppin' that should be up tomorrow or sometime this weekend. Updates should be within a few days of each other unless I get really bad writers block. Thanks for reading though ! Hope you enjoy.
