I was awoken with a loud beeping in my ear. I groaned and reached over blindly to shut of my alarm. It was 4:30 in the morning, we had to go to the airport to see Demi off. I still can't believe she is leaving.

I sighed as I pried my eyes open. I blinked a few times before slowly rising out of bed. I ran my fingers through my hair as I let out a breath of frustration.

I had to get ready quick so I quickly pulled on some yoga pants and a loose t-shirt that said 'Eat. Sleep. Cheer'.

I headed to the bathroom to brush my morning breath away. I squinted at the bright light in the bathroom, I hadn't adjusted to being awake quite yet.

After I finished brushing my teeth, I tried to get all of the knots out of my hair with the brush. I put a hair clip in my hair where my bangs had grown out. I wasn't really the kind of person to put mascara and eyeliner on all the time. Sometimes I was too lazy, or I just didn't want to. It's not like we need makeup anyway.

I exited the bathroom. I stopped outside of the white colored guest bedroom door. I knocked lightly.
"Come in" Demi called. I walked in to find Demi siting cross legged on the floor packing.

"Just finishing up packing. I didn't finish last night, I was exhausted ." She said.

"Same here" I replied as I sat down next to her.

She put another folded shirt into her suitcase then sighed as she put her hands in her lap and sighed once again.

"You look comfortable" I teased. She had no makeup, like me, yoga pants, and a plain gray sweat shirt.

"Shut up" she smiled back. I smiled also, I was glad she smiled, I liked to see her do that.

"Sooo" I said, not knowing what to say.

Demi shrugged as she zipped her suitcase and stacked it on top of another one. She grabbed a bag, which I assumed was her carry-on bag, and reached in. She pulled out a small electronic, which I assumed was her MP3 player. She handed it to me.

"It's all the songs that remind me of our friendship. I have been putting songs on here since we were eight. I even was putting songs on here when I was away. I never forgot our friendship." She said with a small sad smile on her lips.

I took the small object from her hands and examined it. I was a gray-silver color and it was as tall as my pointer finger. It wasn't touch screen, it has buttons. I looked at Demi and smiled.

"Look at the songs" she told me. I turned the MP3 player on and clicked on 'all songs'. A bunch of songs came up and I scrolled through them. Some were older, since she started when we were 8. I recognized a few, and some I recognized as her own.

I smiled at the small gift.
"Aww, thanks Demi" I thanked her. I put my arms around her neck and she hugged me back. We stayed that way for a few moments before releasing.

"This is going to be quite an experience isn't it?" I said with my eyebrows faced up.

"Yep" Demi said "It sure is".

.........................

All 4 of us walked into the large building. We got there early so Demi could go through security and whatever.

We went through the process with very little conversation. Soon I head on the loud speaker " flight 81 now boarding". Demi was flight 81.

Demi and I faced each other.

"Wow" she said with a breath.

"I can't believe this is really happening. Again" I said trying to hold back tears.
